Well, technically, all they do is running a software and selling it to some other companies, it's a B2B company.
They don't manage the administrative part at all and don't have any power on the money held by any of their customers (their customers = poker rooms).

While I can understand that some may think that MPN could have stronger conditions to join their network (regularly checking solvency for example), at the end of the day they're only a software company selling software to poker companies.

As for PKR, I created an account there in 2012 and I can say it was a sinking ship way before they joined MPN.
It was horribly run by rude, incompetent and arrogant persons who made all their possible to get rid of any newcomers.
Everytime I was promised something "nice" (still lol compared to other rooms) via their promos, there was a trouble. It started the day I made my first deposit, when I was promised (and confirmed on livechat) numerous times 25'000 points and I ended having only 5'000. They explained this saying it was a "bug".
If liquidation goes the same way than the room was ran, then you should 100% NOT expecting any money coming back.
They were greedy and liars when still alive, I don't see them changing now they're down.

And the "community"... LOL
I remember people like t1gershark (and other regulars) relentlessly abusing players on forums and mods being behind them not doing anything.
Then when you complained about that kind of behaviour, nothing happened because it was like a sect and "favored" players were nursed by stupid staff.

I can't even believe some people were still playing there, they had NOTHING more to offer than any other MPN skin. Good riddance PKR !

I used to be Nicestoryicall on PKR

I had 40k there when they moved to microgaming network, had to complain on the public forum to get my money out and got paid.

Feel sorry for the players stuck in this, hoping for a quick pay out.

I only had about $50 on PKR but stopped playing on the site Months ago, only opened up the client few times in last Year or so, i knew it wasn't looking good for PKR when i was getting e-mails nearly everyday from support basically pleading for me to deposit more and get some deposit bonus and this was right up until only weeks ago which really angers me now reading this, it got so bad i nearly blocked them for spam. I really hope players get their cash back but i doubt it and if it goes down the liquidation route then you'll not even get back 1 dime, this is really bad as the creditors should get back a % of their cash but i doubt it.

Well everyone but the taxman. HMRC made them liable for their partners point of consumption tax. Government less bothered about players money.

Hey guys, had $444 there and forgot about it until now

I see that I don't even have PKR client installed now on my new laptop.
Could some good guy post an official (or unofficial) link where I could download the PKR MPN installer?

The WaybackMachine does not seem to work properly with that one.

Thanks for help and hope we get our money back!

Basic protection, segregating th funds is no real protection in the event of insolvency but it does mean that they can't use player funds as working capital. It means player funds would be available for the administrator to distribute to ALL CREDITORS of which players are one.

If the site says they only segregate UK player funds it means thatthey are already using ROW player funds as working capital and so are far riskier both in terms of the riskof insolvency but also because there will be less cash for distribution post insolvency.
Hey Richas, do you know how I check which level of protection each site has under the UKGC? Tried to find out briefly but failed.

Specifically; UniBet and Party.

Thanks.

They have to have it listed somewhere in their t&c just search for "basic", "medium" or "high" and you should find the relevant paragraph.

PKR was dead to me when they stopped sending me champagne on my birthday.
It's been garbage for years now.

Was the first place I played full time

Anyone know the likelihood they'll actually get a buyer? Surely it's close to zilch?

Yeah I can't believe it's the current year and poker sites STILL won't ban players from countries that don't have 90% fishy players. How am I meant to pay the bills?
