This sounds publicity stunt for sure. 70-80 hours or whatnot is doable, if he is on any kind of form physically or mentally. With this guy, I use mentally very loosely here.
I don't know about the army in the usa, but in the army of my country, there are this kind of endurance tests with very physical and mental tasks along with it.
Once, without any preparation or training for it, we have to be awake 54 hours straight including close to non stop marching or orienteering with multiple puzzles and other mental tasks between or during these physical legs. For example you have to learn a paragraph while running about a mile and then repeat it out loud afterward. The test ended with a march of 15 miles, and you have to read a book about something irrelevant during it and there was a literary test about it in the end. That whole test was unpleasant for sure, but as far as I remember, 90% did get through it. And those who dropped out, were more or less injured or quit because of lacking the physical stamina rather than mental reasons. Hallucinations did not occur afaik.

big difference between 54 hours and 80 hours, also could you have lost thousands of $ if you didnt stay sharp?
Well, at least he don't have to carry 80lb backpack the whole time. And if I have to choose, I would rather sit on a comfy chair and doze behind sunglasses.
What just happened? Did he just 3bet JJ in the BB (cold-call a 3bet? looked like he put a lot of $$ in pre but dealer was also quick to pull that money in so it didn't seem like anyone else was responding to it) and c/f a K75r flop face up? Caught the tail end, wasn't sure about action
Phil opens to $80 UTG+1 or UTG+2, called from somewhere (in position?) and BB
flop A44ss chked around
turn 6c, BB leads $140?, phil calls
riv 5h, BB bets $400, phil pays off and mucks, BB wins with K4s, didn't see Phil's hand
I'm prob ****ing up the action as I don't even have sound on but recounting as best as I can
