Would it be a wise investment for Pokerstars to pay Phil Ivey as much as Daniel Negreanu even if he does not relocate?

Just using him in adverts and patching him up at some live tourneys.

I would argue more people know Phil Ivey, mainly from his spot on ESPN and the Main Event FT he made... but DN is better for PS as he seems to be more willing to be more open to the public/interviews/ect... They are both massively +EV for anyone who can sign them though.

Negreanu is taking on a lesser role at Stars in the last 6-12 months:
-no longer "the face" of Pokerstars
-not performing/playing well
-primarily US based
-doesn't appear in new TV ads
-Elky/Mercier/Selbst/Boeree/Katchalov taking on bigger roles
-small profile on the web-site

Negreanu's not worth as much as you think he is and if he can't turn it around how much longer will they give him?

He's still in the advert they show before the PCA and EPT shows in the UK, or is this not running anymore?

They are gonna get much more out of DN than Ivey, as far as all the promotional stuff he does, television, etc... But also, people can still play online with DN on Stars, Ivey will basically just wear a hat and god it up at tournaments, which is still valuable, but DN brings way more to the table imo

Daniel is far more marketable. He's a personable guy who's willing to do more interviews and put himself out there. Ivey is way more closed off and just focused on money. He's valuable as a skillful player and for railbirds, but not really a big marketable personality.

I'm not a fan of either of them but, DN is by far the better ambassador and he's far more popular with the fish that I know.

Ivey is known as the best by many, he's still a ******* though and thus worth less imo

I think Teddy Monroe has more value to Pstars than Ivey.
