How does what he does in his spare time have anything to do with the legitimacy of poker being a skill game? Being a degen somehow means you cannot play skill games?

50 bets is a ****load. I'm pretty sure even 10 bets is well under 1% probability.

One would assume that chips were in play at this private table? If so, would he not have just put the chips in "his box" at the cage? Why would you turn over chips without receiving cash? Or some form of surety for the value? Why give the *********** who run the place the opportunity to screw you?

Maybe they didn't have the money to cover the chips in play. Perhaps he can file a lawsuit and in 2-5 years have the money returned. Unfortunately, the casino will not be able to comment on this. Their lawyers said not to speak. The employees and owners feel very bad about the whole thing though.

They told him they were going to transfer the money after the bank holiday.

This is BS if there was a cop in the room why would there even be a question as to if he cheated.

They have been in business since 1828. I think they already made a name for themselves and are not too worried.

Don't worry Phil, your money is 100% safe and secure.

Haha. Casino seems to be delaying to pay a legitimate win imo. And the stuff about ivey being a 'hit and runner' kind of fits with his online play. He quits after losing a couple of bi's but stays when he wins. Seems a smart strategy.

At these stakes i wonder how much he has lost in the pit games over time. Must be running into ten million.

I guess its not 'hit and running' more tilt control. He never seems to spew online because he quits early if he loses a few bi's. Him quitting big and not gambling the night away seems to fit that persona.
