forgive me for starting this post, but i just couldnt help it.

i was playing in a 1/2nl game tonight, (actually just got home about 30 min ago), and a guy that got into the game forgot to take his namebadge off. he works at bellagio.

he and another player got to talking and the player asked him if he plays there.

he said no. he basically says that he doesnt "chit where he eats"

he did prouldly announce that phil ivey was there playing craps and that the host said that he was stuck 7 million.

my question is, do you believe that ivey could be stuck that much and not affect his bankroll?

why is he such a good gambler and such a bad gambler too

Regardless of his bankroll if he keeps playing craps at those levels he will go broke. He would have to know that. Right?

Ivey is worth a sick amount. Do you have any idea of what rake fulltilt make each day not to mention other things which he would get a big chunk of. He could go out and lose his whole bankroll tonight and by this time next week he would be mega rich again.

trust me, he didnt even know he had it on. no one knew who he was until the guy in the two seat called him by his name.


he even told us what department he worked in, but i wont divulge in that cause you never know who reads two plus two.

all i can say is that he seemed very credible. it wasnt like he had a plastic name badge with white out thru it. when the guy next to him called him by his name, he figured out why and took his badge off immediately.

Its not like you have to be a GM to know who's stuck what. Now if the guy said Ivey has lost X million over the last 45 days that would be hard to know. But Ivey could have lost 7 million in an hour and it could have been the same dealers that sat there and watched it. So any stickman could have passed that news on..

Sounds like BS to me. 7 million isn't a loss you'd only hear about at 2p2.

Indeed. I mean come on the guy is a shareholder in Full TIlt. Which means even when he is playing say durrrr he is getting part of durrrr's rake. The guy & all the FT owners are making money even whey they **** & sleep.
