Though it was worth throwing up here since there are not too many poker players endorsing non-poker related products. So it's a bit of a victory.

No its Phil Ivey, a little background: The TV advertisements just started airing tonight.

According to autonews:

“The Kings & Queens of America” is a 60-second spot featuring images of Americans who have created their own success, including gambler and entrepreneur Phil Ivey, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon.

It's narrated by actor Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister on “Game of Thrones.”

I didn't post this as a fanboy, I just think its cool and good for poker when poker players get featured in more mainstream venues.

Doubt it makes any difference for poker because there is like no way anyone would know he is a poker player.

yeah, hard to say what it means if anything. It certainly caught my attention. I just spotted it randomly while watching TV and after a few seconds of googling found out that the Ad just premiered tonight.

I think Chrysler certainly knew some people might recognize him.

It would have been better, if they had shown him sitting down at a table so people dont just think its some random black guy.

Pause it and zoom and you'll notice that he is in a casino at the end. The US poker economy is pretty large. Him being in the commercial will be all over Poker News sites and forums. All mentioning Chrysler. An easy way to get more people talking about it. That's just good marketing.

Technically last commericial attempt was for Carl's Jrs burgers but I liked this video
