WSOP event #32 $5000 No Limit Hold 'em / 6 handed - 148,300
WSOP event #33 $2500 Pot Limit Hold 'em / Omaha - 34,900

These chip counts are what are reported so far, not sure how accurate they are, but he has made day 2 of both of these events, confirmed. It is still early, and they aren't close to the money yet, but I thought Phil Ivey making two day 2's at the same time was pretty threadworthy...

he was gone from the 5k forever blinding out, he had like 3k left when he got back, doubled through me twice, then another dude, then recieved a total gift from some dude who 4bet a9o for 50+bbs in a dumb spot, then boom 50k np. he was pissed when he won the first allin cuz he wanted to bust and sweat the game, but apparently abandoned give up mode once he doubled a billion times

I wonder if he'll buy in for 10k heads up today also...

It's too bad they scheduled that the day after 5k 6max because so many players like Ike, AEJones, Kingsofcards, Robl, Lindgren etc who would have played 10k HU now are still in the 5k.

They should push the tables up beside each other and give him a swivel chair.

so which should he focus on?

#32 NLH 6max.......... 148,300T, blinds 500/1K/100ante..8th/116...2.669mega prizepool
#33 PL Holdem/Omaha. 34,900T, blinds 300/600...........16th/126 1.108mega prizepool

he should avoid missing hands in event #32 imo, then when he has a moment go check the PL game to see if he can ship ~4.5 pot sized bets in and double up.

Ivey buys into 2 events that are running at the same time. He plays all his hands at event A while his stack is blinded off in event B, and then when A is on a break goes and plays at B trying to double up a bunch of times. This does not make him a dog at event A. This is why people are making fun of you.

If so, then he's not multi-tabling; he's just flushing the event B entry fee. I respect Ivey as much as anybody, but this is not an intelligent approach to live events.

Ivey is not the only pro doing this, he is just the best at it. He won one of his bracelets last year while still playing in another tournament (and going deep in that one too) I believe..

Raymer tried this last year in the champions event and the 40k buy in, ft'd the 40k buy in and still had chips left when he got back to the champions event, but as the champs event was winner takes all I don't think he was too concerned about it.
