They didn't pay him enough g-bucks and wouldn't let him wear his pirate outfit in the office, imo.

I think it's largely dependent on how players are doing. Not great but surviving and recovering.

Wow, there's (was) definitely a big conflict at hand given Phil's twitter about not being able to post videos, etc...

And WTF @ Don's post about Niman! Always thought Niman was a stand-up guy, this really goes to show that you never ever know.

Reposting because WHAT THE ****!

The site seemed like a big success and myself and the other Bluefire pros felt we were underpaid. We decided to have a skype group and discuss if we wanted to go to managment and re-negotiate our contracts. Niman, in particular, was very convincing when he told us our value and how underpaid we were. He suggested we re-negotiate and all take the same % as one another, a significant increase for all involved. Niman instructed us that we don't talk to the owner directly, rather, we'd talk to him as a group.

After sending out an e-mail to management about our raise, no one talked to the owner alone. That is, everyone but Niman Kenkre. He was playing both sides, orchestrating our union and talking to the owner behind our backs. At one point, he even asked, "What's Martin getting? We don't need him. Give me my original contract and whatever you're giving Martin and I'll sign right now". Giggy is really cool, so I'm glad this didn't happen. He then let the owner know that he could break up the group, if he give in to his demands. They came to an agreement. Niman then came to the group, letting us know that it was unlikely that we were getting a raise and we should all back off. The union disbanded.

Needless to say, I felt very betrayed.

Thanks Phil for all the advice and genuine care about your members, now that you're leaving, that site has about 2 days to live lol

sketchy. AFAIK phil was the glue holding BFP together, so i dont think there's any chance the site will go on without him (or it might, but wont be profitable at all).

I hope that they come up with some kind of arrangment for all the people that just registered to the site for Phil's videos (let's be honest.) because that would just suck to just pay for 6months and the guy you're here for is quitting.

More behind the scenes stories too please, would like to understand what all this is about.

Phil, take Giggy and two or three more coaches that you really rate with you, and open a new site. You can release 2 vids per month, with the other coaches doing likewise. I'd definitely be willing to pay.*

* please don't take Leatherass with you, though

If BFP doesn't hire a new highstakes/nosebleeds player I'm probably not keeping my subscription. The ratio MTT/SNG vids:Good cash games vids is way out a whack for the last few months also.

if Niman really did that..wtf.. just keeps making poker players look worse and worse..can't trust anyone.. the fact that he thinks he is better, or more valuable than Giggy is pretty lawl imo.. sad guy and major d-bag if true

I recently cancelled my membership with Cardrunners cos I felt the content was getting worse and worse after Black Friday. Not sure if there's a good training site out there at the moment.

There's literally no one they can hire who plays high stakes/nosebleeds and is as articulate as Phil Galfond.
