While I strongly prefer watching these with hole cards, if there is good commentary during the action and storytelling during the slow periods, it is still worth watching. Also, players like Roger Teska make things interesting. I watched the stream live last year with him at the secondary and feature tables and it was entertaining.
If hole cards are shown delayed for one table but not the rest, it is completely unfair to those players at that table. All the other players get to play (leading up to the final table) without having their playing style exposed. Other players not at the table can scout (or have friends scout) the players while they can't do the same. Once the final table is reached, all remaining players are in the same situation so it's equally fair (or unfair, depending on how you view this) to have their cards exposed.
