PartyPoker and Ongame Network to merge

Bwin, which owns the Ongame Network, and PartyGaming, which owns partypoker, are set to merge. What does this mean for the poker sites? Not sure at the minute, but they are inevitably going to try and merge the player pools to create more liquidity.

WIN!

More high stakes action, more fish, more crappy regs, larger advertising budget :P

Hopefully this means that if the two poker networks are integrated the new site will be using the Party software, fingers crossed. Ongame is a little fishier as well so Party regs will enjoy the liquidity increase

Re: PartyPoker and Ongame Network to merge

I have always advocated these smaller sites to merge, creates bigger fields and better play at non peak times. In my opinion there should be PS, FTP and maybe 2-3 other skin based sites, there is not enough of a worldwide pool for these other skin sites to make them feasible long term, this is why we see so many of the skins fall along with peoples money.

good to know you always advocated this, but party was a big independent site anyway.
