Party poker charging for not playing?

I login and check my emails this morning and recieved this gem from Party Poker:

Hi Chris,

It’s been a while since we saw you at PartyPoker.com. We’ve made some big changes while you were away.

We’ve listened to our players and as a result now have fantastic new tables, a more generous loyalty programme as well as bigger and better tournaments worth $10 million guaranteed each month. What’s more, you can now choose Canadian dollars as your account currency. Visit your Party Account to find out more.

Keeping your account active couldn’t be easier! All you have to do is log in to Party Poker and play 1 raked hand and or any MTT or STT.

As you’ve not used your account recently*, we wanted to remind you that after six months of inactivity we charge an administration fee of 5 Euros each month. The first charge will be deducted in 15 days.
Make sure you aren’t charged: just buy in with as little as 50 cents and play one raked hand at our limit micro-limit tables.

Log in and play on PartyPoker now, or visit PartyPoker.com to download our latest software.

For more information, please read our terms and conditions.

If you have any questions regarding your account, please contact our Customer Care Team.

I have not played there in years and don't really plan to, but I guess it will be expensive when I do.

This happened to me a few months ago, kind of annoying.

Party Poker has been one of the worst run major sites for years. Terrible glitchy software - more recently, stupid incentive programs.

The only thing that kept them at the top back in the day was the fact that the place was fish central.

They have always done that I remember fighting for a fee from them 5 years ago back when Neteller was around.

Re: Party poker charging for not playing?

anyone who leaves money on a site is probably leaving a very small amount of money, and they're not in the online safety deposit box business

withdraw, or play some hands, or deal with it

Just checked my account(had to re-download, so their plan almost worked) and I have $2.10. They can have it. I was going to play it, but their software is tilting.

Doesn't make any sense. I got the email and laughed at them and told them to close my account.
