wow great find. That article is surprisingly good for its time. I expected it to have more emphasis on live tells and stuff like that, but it actually talks about the mathematical viewpoint of poker and stresses the importance of understanding betting patterns when reading your opponent.

obviously out-dated, but kudos to the writer for forseeing how popular the game would become and explaining some concepts relatively accurately

that game they were playing was pretty high stakes.....like 50/100 today.....

they had car advertisements for 2000-3000 dollars and they ended up having a 3000 dollar pot....
