some reward for getting people to sign up and play is fine.. an endless % of the money is not

I don't understand why I'm the only one worried about this or maybe I read something incorrectly. Please clear up some issues for me.

1. Will we receive rakeback which we are owed? I'm guessing no which sucks but life goes on.

2. Will they deduct all the rakeback we ever received from out accounts?

3. Will they deduct all the bonus cash we ever cleared in our accounts?

4. Is there any oither affliates other than the rakeback?

Any ideas, Thank you

1) yes
2) no
3) no
4) rakeback is not an affiliate.. an affiliate facilitated your ability to get rakeback in the past. they were a necessary evil

I'm pretty sure.. I believe he IS an affiliate (and a player). The email to him says he isn't going to get paid for being the affiliate that allowed other players to get their rakeback - it doesn't mean the players themselves won't get their rakeback

From the 1st post in the thread :

"10. Do we get rakeback for the week before the shutdown?

- Yes, players who were due rakeback during that last week of June will still get it."

So just to be clear stars is getting rid of the 27% rakeback ( + extras) aswell as the affilliates no longer having any commission.

this is the bad side of a monopoly at work.

Full Tilt Poker affiliates will not be paid by PokerStars

Esp this is interesting/i don't understand it.
Quote:

Separately, as we are working around the clock to get the new FullTiltPoker.com site up-and-running by November 6, we are unable to offer an affiliate program for Full Tilt Poker at this time. We do intend to launch a new affiliate program in the first quarter of 2013, under the Rational Group, which will be a joint program with PokerStars. This future program will give you the opportunity to promote and earn from both brands. We look forward to engaging with you on a new partnership going forward.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker
What would the bolded part mean? a Joint progam ? Could it perhaps mean that if you earn FPP's, you also get VPP's at the same time? Or just a wet dream of me?

A joint affiliate program doesn't mean it's a joint player VIP program.

It's an email to affiliates. It doesn't have much to do with players. At best there might be some joint promotions between stars and ftp, but more likely it's referring to things that make it easy for affiliates to promote ftp along side stars.

I am not really sure why FTP is even relaunching. I live in Canada and am not sure if there are countries that cannot play on PS other then the US and I don't see how re-opening the site other then for the players to recoup their money is beneficial?
What the poker community really needs is for the US to get their heads out of the sand and allow their adult citizens to decide what they would like to do with their money.

How can you say this? The US government has always stood for Truth, Justice and the American way (hang on that might have been Superman).

No disrespect intended to American citizens but why is it impossible to get a government to do what the people want?

A joint affiliate program, not joint vip system

rakeback wont be deducted from any account, but affiliate earnings will
so if you arent ftp affiliate then your balance will remain the same

So now I don't get credit for any players I sent to them, I can't take part in affiliate promotions and I get less rakeback?

Good deal.
