This is a fair point. I can recall many threads on here with people being scared to play on FT due to... exactly what happened. I'd say to be fair if you ever earned a Black Card it should be reinstated, assuming you're plan for the relaunch includes the BC.

will we be given advanced notice of the re-launch time / date?

So will you say on September 15th that the re-lauch will be happening on October 15th for example?

If you ever had the unfortunate idea of buying anything from their store and email then many months asking for an update on your shipment, and was ok with receiving a canned response that said you'd get a tracking number when they ship, then ftp provided a good service

If you're okay with items mysteriously dumped on your doorstep out of the blue because ftp never required a signature, and didn't bother shipping my monitors in an actual shipping box (lol moment when I saw the shipping sticker on top of the samsung logo), then ftp provided a good service

If you are ok with receiving a tracking number AFTER your items were dumped on your doorstep then ftp provided a good service.

All of these were true stories. I purchased multiple items ftlrom the store and the same thing happened 3-4 times over.
I had just as good if not better service from FTP than I did on PS in the 6 months or so prior to BF.

I'm sure anyone who had blackcard can vouch that with it, you got ridiculously good service.

it feels like stars is going to be a little too hands off with the new ftp. there are tons of things stars does better than ftp and it would be a shame not to include these with the new site.

No, it doesn't. "Continuously shuffling the cards" implies that there is a pre-set deck order, which changes/shuffles during the hand. That is not what happened at Full Tilt at all; the cards were never put into any order whatsoever, so there was no way to "shuffle" them. The term has no meaning in this context.

so you don't really make any sense.
And thanks for adding a typical, juvenile 2+2 passive aggressive comment in lieu of making an actual argument.

If you were capable of getting black card, it will be easy to get again. It will only take less than a month.

Don't know when the site reopens that there will be enough games right away to sustain black card status anyway. Im sure FTP2 has to figure it out.

Will the FT mainstay Fantasy Poker return?

If so, and US players are not yet able to play real money, will there be a push to allow US players to make Fantasy Poker entries?

I would like to see Pokerstarts/FTP introduce an all year WSOP entry tournament/steps.

To get time of summer I have to book this well in advance and starting the tournaments a couple of months before the start of the wsop is of no use to me.

If they can also amend the steps tournament to exclude anyone who had already won a seat then I would definitely play these, as I don't see the point in playing them just to get picked off by all the professionals in the last couple of steps.

I used to use the Steps tournaments as an easy way to cash in my points. I didn't give a **** about the main event package -- I would cash in my points for a Step 1, and when I would get to Step 5, I would just use my Step 5 ticket to play in a $200+16 six man SNG, which were amazingly soft, and first prize was $770.

If you can cash in say even 30% of those, that's ~$1600 for $30 worth of points. Best use of points that I saw on there for small stakes grinders IMO.

full tilt themselves called their shuffling method "continuous shuffle". picking a card by random generator at a specific time is technically identical to shuffling the deck until that specific time and picking the first card.

No, it's technically completely different. It's effectively identical.

What if you were a US player pre Black Friday but have relocated since; will you be able to keep your balance/cash out as a ROW player?

C'mon man, read. That question was answered on day 2. but in case you haven't had a chance , I'll recap for some coaching sessions (seriously, teach me please)

From Lee Jones Pokerstars acquires thread
"Q: I’m an American (that is, I have a Full Tilt account with an American address as of June 29, 2011). But I have moved out of the US and have received permission to play on PokerStars. Can I play on the newly reopened FTP?

A: Anybody residing outside the U.S. (and the IT/EE/ES/BE/FR/DK countries) can play on Full Tilt Poker once it re-launches. We are still determining the exact mechanism by which formerly American Full Tilt players will restart their play on Full Tilt (from outside the U.S.).

Q: Can a player who is defined as a U.S. player, but is now living outside the U.S., simply reopen his account and have access to the funds in it?

A: No. You have to apply to the U.S. DoJ for remission (i.e. to get your money back). Again, we don't know the exact mechanism by which former U.S. players will restart at Full Tilt; we'll let you know as soon as we have it confirmed."

Cliffs.

No you can't just re open your account as a ROW if your account had a USA address as of 29th June 2011.

You will be able to re open the account once it has been verified that you have moved but the balance of that account will have to be retrieved via the DOJ/US Gov. The process for this has not been confirmed as yet.

If you were still registered as a US player after 29th June then you can't keep your balance, you have to go through DOJ/remmission.

If you were ROW, then yes, you can keep balance or cash out as soon as they open the site back up.

it depends on where your FTP address was on june 29th, 2011. That decides whether you are ROW or US player.
