re: Official FTP (Pre)Relaunch Thread (OP updated August 24, 2012)

Shyam,

Nice post, man. Glad to see you'll be staying on at Stars.

And, again, my apologies for creating the initial confusion about the FTPDoug account. I bet that was a huge headache :-)

Is there ANY sort of timeline that US players can look forward to? Or are we like 100% in the dark here again?

If the DOJ only refunds U.S. players' cash balances and cash for our FTPs are you going to allow us to order items from the Fulltilt store with the points we had pre Black Friday? I had millions and it is a large % of the "money" I had on FTP.

Will a full report on all transactions done pre-black friday be available with our account information?
I've been waiting a while to figure out my balance/transactions made to other players in the month or 2 before it all went to hell.

I used the digipass app on my iPhone to access my FTP account. I have since switched phones and no longer have the app required to log into my account (us player). Will this be needed or will I be as to access my account without it?

during multi-entry weeks the entire FTs of virtually every tourney from $26 up to 100r were good regs. $75 mtts had tougher FTs than the 100r normally does...

people trying to champion multi-entry are overlooking the big picture, let's not jeopardise people thinking they are better than they are (this goes for breakeven type regs, small losers, and small winners also) just to have the occasional fun and super degen week for those people at the top of the food chain.

the whole point is for everyone to think they are a little better than they are, multientry forces people to either move down hugely in stakes, or get owned over and over and by the end of the week 95% of the field want to curl up in a little ball and cry
Outstanding post.

Thanks for the thread, Shyam. Congrats to ROW players. Good luck, U.S. players.

Hey Shyam Markus why not keep PS and FTP as different skins on the same network. Like merge for example. This way you do not segregate players.

I think they already said they won't be doing that.

It isn't doable. PS already shipped all the US players' money to the DOJ. There is no way US players can get their money back any other way except for filing with the DOJ. It's not hard to understand. It's just ****ing inconvenient if you are a US player and have relocated since June 29th, 2011.

What made FTP so great, was not only the software, but the willingness to give up rake and to take risks for the quality of the games and innovations.

-FTP had no SNE program for less bot-like grinders
-maximum of 8 tables (16 by request) made the games much faster than Pokerstars, which is infested by 24tablers who constantly time out or use their full time bank for every single action
-FTP was the first site to solve the ratholing-shortstacker problem
-lot's of deep table and ante-table action
-no seperation of fast and normal tables, because the software was pretty fast at default

The games on Pokerstars are much less fun than on FTP, the gaming environment is disgusting at the moment. As soon as a fish busts, everyone is instantly sitting out, even on low stakes, which is ridiculous.
FTP tables weren't any softer than at Pokerstars, but definitely more action packed, faster and more fun.

Q: Will FTP continue to deliver completely different gameplay than Pokerstars or will both sites become very similar over time?
Awesome post, +1

Also please be reactivating Rakeback pros, Ironman and BlackCard for everyone!

I cant wait for the relaunch, weeeeeeee!!

Wink re: Official FTP (Pre)Relaunch Thread (OP updated August 24, 2012)

Hi There,

Do you know if our player notes will still be there?
Im aware they are stored on our own hard drives, i just want to know if they will still be compatable?

Also, one of my main concerns regarding returning to Full Tilt full time is the quality of the player pool. As has been brought up before, currently, the only people aware of the iminent Full Tilt relaunch are people searching for information. Im assuming most of us in this thread are part of the "5.1%" that had considerable balances in limbo. (and the play money enthusiasts! )
What are pokerstars planning to do with regards to promoting Tilt again? Based on your october timeline, you have 60 days.

As appealing as the thought of a monster bonus is. Its still going to be -ev to come back to a player pool of regs.

Thanks in advance...
