Getting a huge amout of rakeback as gold member, was credited on Friday successfully just after midnight, never made so many FT points before bf, and before bf never received any rakeback cash reward, loving this site even more, also the Sunday 200k prize pool was nearing 600k, relaunch was a big hit, thanks pokerstars

try to delete your preferences folder in something like user/appdata/local/full tilt. some file seems to be corrupted there, works fine afterwards.

You are not loosing anything when you clear them early. The only disadvantage the tickets have is that you will have to play short-stacked at some point.

Is it me or is FTP really not doing allot of promo at all ? I don't watch cable television almost ever so I suppose I would not see the ads - And the ones I have seen on here are fine but they are all cut / edited from a prior batch. I received an e-mail letting me know that in 2 weeks I would be able to play and that's all - Nothing else. Some recreational player friends received nothing at all.

It seems to me ftp are basically just testing things out thus far (and basically using us / regs as beta testers) and not doing allot to actually get new players...

Am I wrong here?

I mean, at least some of the time you'll bust the tickets trying to clear them and release no cash value?

you're looking at it wrong

Say you play $100nl as your usual game, and generally play 12 tables. You buy a $100 ticket and use it to buy in full at one table, then buy in at another 11 tables with cash. At the end of your session you take all your cash off the table, and whatever's left on the ticket table can be re-used to buy in at your 12th table tomorrow. You're 12-tabling but only putting 11 buyins on the table. And eventually you will either lose the ticket buyin (hooray, you didn't lose the $100 cash you would otherwise have lost), or you clear the ticket and it becomes cash.

Of course, if you use the ticket to play $100nl when you only have $200 in your account and your usual game is $10nl, you're almost always going to lose the buyin before you're able to clear the ticket. And even if you use it "smartly", there's a likely loss of EV at some point as you're unable to top up your buyin at the ticket table and are forced to play short. But it's still a worthwhile deal for a ring game grinder if the price is right and he uses the tickets wisely.

OK, that logic makes sense. In which case it would be better to save up to get a $200 ticket to get better cent per FTP and also reduce the lost equity from not being able to top up?

I wonder how many people will be busted for colluding in regards to these tickets.

Say u play HU with a ticket. Lose it all to a friend and then he loses it back to you and the cash is yours... Wonder if they have thought of this as a problem.

is nobody complaining about the 7 day expiry? i think its ridic short... yes i normaly never have a break of 7 days from poker but there is the occasional vacation or getting sick or just real life happening... i really do not need the stress from this if i pay for the ticket with my hard earned points... it is alright if it were from a promo, but for something i fully paid for? especially as the FTP/$ ratio is not significantly different from tournament tickets which never expire and have a playthrough of "bet it once"...

Would be simpler to lose the money to him, then get him to cashout and pay you.

I have a question regarding "run it twice".
Is rake still higher for that than just running it once like it used to or just like at stars where it costs the same?

You need to get 1250 points to clear it... that's around 5000 hands at 50NL full ring which is roughly 53 hours of play. Suppose the player's average session lasts for 1 hour. The player would need to play 53 sessions with this ticket. However, if the player drops below 50$ after any given session, he is forced to play as a shortstack or at a lower stake to be able to use his ticket. Also, it is virtually impossible that the player would be able to actually clear the ticket, since over 53 sessions, it is extremely likely that he will lose his full buy in once...

In fact, the biggest problem is that the player may be forced to play at a lower stake than he intends... I suggest that one of the following options be given to the player: A) Buy in into a cash game with a combination of his ring game ticket and money from his cashier or B) Let players somehow merge ring game tickets together... but this option is probably rather complicated
You don't need to play that many sessions. You can loose the ticket when you loose one buy-in at the level you are playing. That's it. I lost 10 ring game tickets on Sunday alone. I didn't have a 10 buy-in downside; in fact I had a winning day. What I did was after winning a big pot I left the game and that essentially resets the ticket to its max value, which is always one buy-in.

The fact that so many people don't realise this is what makes it worthwhile for FTP to offer them!
I agree with that but there is also another inherent advantage of the tickets. You cannot loose money! If you are not a winning player buying a cash bonus may not be such a smart move.
