Viktor Blom is up to 115,000 now after eliminating Mathieu Gallienne in a pre-flop all-in encounter. Blom raised to 1,000 from the cut-off and was called by the player in the next seat before Gallienne shoved for 22,000 from the big blind. Blom was the only caller.

8.32pm: The formidable rise of Isildur1
We're used to seeing Viktor Blom spinning up rather large amounts on the PokerStars cash tables, now he's doing the same at the live tournament felt.

Yet another nice pot has gone his way to move the young Swede up to more than 135,000. He had made it 1,800 and got calls from Almira Scripcenco and Eric Sagne. The flop was 7♥T♦2♣ and Blom bet 3,800 this time, getting a call only from Scripcenco. On the 6♦ turn, Scripcenco checked then called when Blom made it 8,850. The river was 4♦ and now it was Scripcenco who came out firing with a bet of 12,425. Blom looked a little disappointed at that, but made the call regardless.

Good shout - his Q♥T♠ was nicely ahead of Scripcenco's 8♥8♣. -- SY

Somebody needs to tell the fearless Jean Noel Thorel that Team Pokerstars Pro Viktor Blom is quite a good heads up player. At the moment all of the action on table 17 is going through these two players with Thorel seemingly throwing the gauntlet down to Blom.

In the latest exchange of bluffs we caught the two of them a little later than we would have liked because we missed the pre flop action. The flop was {j-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {10-Spades} and Thorel bet 2,500. Blom raised to 6,200 and Thorel called.

Before the turn was dealt Thorel checked in the dark and Blom bet 6,500. Thorel then made it 15,000 more to play. A few short breaths later and Blom was all-in making it another 13,675 for Thorel to call and he did.

"Is my Ace high good?" Asked Blom.

"Yes." Muttered Thorel.

Thorel: {q-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}
Blom: {a-Hearts} {6-Hearts}

The river was the {2-Spades} and as the dealer shipped most of Thorel's chips to Blom they both started laughing.

"Will you stop bluffing me?" Blom asked politely.
