Surely this is not an original idea but I wonder what problem there'd be with them?

Eg. an MTT where you buy in for $10.00, get 1000 chips and could for example cashout $100 when you had 10000 chips. Blinds increase as usual in MTT, probably rebuys are ideal too.

I think there'd be a lot of people being like "**** mincashing" especially if they had a good table, so things could get interesting as tourney gets deeper.

is there something obvious i'm missing?

^That one can already do the same thing at cash tables.

If you can rebuy, there would probably be a strange table selection dynamic at the start. If your table draw lowers ROI by more than the rake, cashout, rebuy, and try for another table.

Does anyone know where they got this idea? I get the Australia connection, but not Rick Astley.

I understand how Rose might see Gobbo as her white knight, but I don't get the Rick Astley connection. They could have used Fabio instead.

Just wondering about the connection between Gobbo and Rick Astley.

Maybe Rick once accused a long term house guest of stealing his Brit award before realising he'd actually just misplaced it in his cluttered hermit cave.

Forum mentioned in the article: http://www.crapsforum.com/threads/be...is-forum.3497/

Very typical reaction from a scammer. The more they yell and scream and threaten, the more likely they are running a con.

Yep,was thinking the same.
Why is everyone so sure he isn't telling the truth?Or at least that most of what he says is can be true?
Also,if its really made up he shouldn't be out there, but in a medical facility instead.

Its scary on multiple levels because if its indeed true to a degree thats really frightening. If it is all just a play of his imagination then he is sick as ****.

honestly just a rec player here in school trying to make an extra 100 bucks here and there cause that goes a long way on my college budget. been playing micro & low stakes.. i can really only afford to deposit 50 bucks at a time so i have to play smart. recently i got my bal up to 350...playin micro which was a grind.. put the time in..when i went to withdraw my funds i looked at the 50$ FEE and said hell no ill wait until the end of the month for the free withdrawal. MAYBE BAD DECISION HERE i kno; decided to move up stakes (1/2), long story short lost a big pot tough beat with kk vs aa (not mad at the decision i made that hand tho based on the reads i had) but looking back i think i messed up by letting that 50$ fee go to my head ---i worked to hard to pay it or something...i think from now on i will just pay the fee..maybe you guys have experienced the same thing or have figured out a way to manage your bankroll around fees.

iv always played throughout school but i was mostly playing mtts and bankroll management was much easier imo. iv picked up knowing my college days are numbered and having the free will to do what i want and play this incredible game may be altered by other priorities that will have to come first for awhile.

thanks.

Love the concept of choosing a nickname that matches your bankroll <3

Probably a good idea to transfer this to BBV. You will find plenty of support there imo!
