see.. now that's what I wouldn't really want. My DSL is maxed out, and page one takes forever to load.. roughly a minute or so at .3MB / sec. Even the spoilers need to load up.
I might have a rule about max file size of posts.

I was thinking more of a poker-specific forum for people interested in constructing ani-gifs, photoshops, gimp.. etc. Software.. technique.. How-to.
Then display the finished work in the appropriate threads / forums.

I've searched and seen some of the threads.. "Best of 2+2" also has a few threads.

maybe the idea sucks.. maybe there's not enough people who'd be interested.

Nobody could write a comprehensive guide. There's just too much to cover.

As for willingness to learn the software, anyone who walks into the "new" graphics forum wouldn't be there if they didn't want to learn.. or to share knowledge.

That post you linked came from some remote corner of 2+2.. "The 2+2 Pokercast Listeners NHL Playoffs Thread.. and is just one of perhaps hundreds of graphics topic posts that don't have a home.

I wonder if they would allow a poll-thread to measure interest in a graphics forum. Animated avatars are popular.
The learning curve is real steep when you gotta jump from Paint to Photoshop-type apps.. And many basic concepts are hard to grasp without a lending hand.

theres threads in ATF where you could go to ask for this but honestly it's going to be a waste of your time.

not saying your idea is bad or good just that it wont fly.

you could start a thread about this, but no wai it's ever gonna get its own forum. computer technical help has some of this information in it, and you could start a new thread if there isn't a suitable one already going.

i can make simple things, like animations. It's fun.

A graphics forum was a bad idea... although I'd be hesitant to post graphics stuff in OOT alongside threads like "How do blind people know when to stop wiping?"
