5 star thread however and I'm sure it's been asked before.

Isn't it a bit unethical for a poker room to essentially publish their clients wins / loses in a public forum.

I thought the general consensus was that casinos should go out of their way to protect the privacy of their bigger players

Well yes this is how it generally works but obviously something changed to make this thread possible which is partly why it's so awesome. Whether it's because we have acting liasons like Tom and Stella and/or because Chau, Tom and Ivey have given their permission, I'm very glad that we're getting this window. Notice btw that the Chinese players were not named which leads me to believe that the FT pros gave permission.

or simply because it's not a private game and therefore no permission is required, that it's great marketing for the casino and that no businessmen's names are given.

I had to join 2+2 just because of this thread!
first of all big thanks to Tom and others for the updates on whats going on in Macau at the moment, couldn't make it myself but next time i'm in!

Tom, may I ask exactly what is it that you do, you obviously have alot of exposure to gambling and gaming in general, Can you shed some more light on the Asian gambling scene, like what are biggest gambling areas and people, where is the best traffic etc? i'm somewhat of a poker sociology buff...

Hi Guys,

I actually have numerous stories with Tom but I will share one with you from Vegas a few years ago.

We were staying in Bellagio and after a double party session in Bank and XS (at Encore) and a $20k+ tab Tom decided he was hungry so ordered pizza on the gaming floor at Bellagio. On top of being hungry, Tom was also extremely drunk at this time and started playing $500 a hand blackjack while waiting for his food, the food then arrived and he continued playing multiple boxes and eat his pizza (which was splattered all over the BJ table by now)

The pit staff were looking more and more anxious as every hand passed as the table was beginning to look like a pepperoni pizza, eventually they politely asked Tom to remove his pizza from the table (but they had to wake him up first)

Tom got up and we (and the pizza) proceeded to the high limit area where they wouldnt have a problem with the pizza and we sat down, Tom now proceeded to play $5k a hand on multiple boxes - his phone rang and before he left to answer it he told me to carry on playing for him.

I was uncomfortable with $5k a hand so I lowered the bet to $1k per hand and proceeded to win 14 hands in a row throughout the duration of Toms phone call... when Tom returned he asked how we had done, and I explained firstly that we were winning, but secondly the misfortune of lowering the bet to $1k per hand... the evening ended up with me on the floor in the high limit room covered in what was left of the pizza and a fist mark on my chest the size of a shovel... (for those who have'nt seen Tom he is enormous!)

We somehow got back to the suite and the following morning Tom explained that he had been woken up by security with his torso inside the room and his legs in the corridor and also that he must have had a bad night because he lost $125k - but he had also forgotten that during the incident in the high limit room he also threw his chips at me

This was a moderate night in Vegas... he really is a legend.

Tom, just undestand that this board tends to go toward negativity so the overwhelming positive reaction should be noteworthy. If you get any negative feedback just ignore it, as the rest of us are enthralled and wanting to get updates constantly and appreciate what you are doing.
