Re: Nosebleed Cash Games at APT Macau (Dwan, Patrik, Trickett, Ivey back in action)
Australia Update
Well the Macau High stakes game moved to Australia for a few days when the Macau guys based themselves on the 39th Floor at Crown just after Chinese New Year.
Strangely was one of the few times everybody was more into tournaments than cash tables but with 100k buy ins and 250k buy ins floating around no surprise there. Add the amazing tennis games involving Djokovic v Murray and Nadal with Gus and others watching live and was more of a social week than hardcore cash week. The game has picked up back again with zeal in Macau and there have been some crazy usd1-2m swings already in the week everybody has been back.
Crown and Aussie Million truly is a superb venue, the Mahogany Room has to be my favorite casino space in the world. Great decor and tables as well as windows and bar/terrace. When were you last on a casino floor when you could see outside / smoke a cigar / enjoy a bit of sun in the breaks in the marathon sessions.
Didn't play much cash in Australia, had 2 fun PLO sessions with Joe and Tony Hachem, Brandon Wong, Nam Le, JC Tran and a few others. Joe was running good that week and scooped the table twice and then also won 4 out of 5 2k 7- way flips.
Personal highlight of the week other than meeting Kevmath was coming in **** faced from Spice Market Club with a load of poker players and the APT promo girls and going to the 250k High roller Final table which was down to 6 handed. The room was so serious we decided to liven it up and the 3 APT promo girls going and hugging, kissing and cuddling Phil Ivey mid game (he wasn't in the hand). I didn't realize at the time that this was being filmed live, but the cameramen afterwards told me it was the highlight of their evening. Seems like their good luck kisses didn't do Phil any harm either as he took down the AUS$2m first prize.
Looks like the cash game will move to Manila for a week during the Manila APT 19-25th April and watch out for some exciting news re what promises to be one hell of a Super High Roller tourney.

Wow,that's so nice and cute that Ivey is getting cuddles&kisses from 3 girls while playing the high roller event-bring tears to my eyes.....
Next time you or anybody else sees him can you please tell him to pay his ****ing debt so we can all get our money back?Or at least make a public statement about it instead of hiding in a high roller room with bodyguards.
Thank you.

Guys, I'm just posting about the high stakes stuff and the people around the space. I know there's a lot of people rightly upset about the FT situatuation and there's lots of places on 2+2 to post about this. Our company has a lot (and I mean a lot) stuck on FT and I am fortunate enough to have a greater visibity than most as to what happened and what is going on. You have to make the distinction between management that were shareholders and those people like phil that had zero to do with anything that happened or the ridiculous decisions made by the management team. There are probably a multitude of legal reasons that phil and other shareholders haven't commented more, its like going after financial institutions that were shareholders in enron as opposed to enron board of directors. I am not going to add to the debate as to whether they should have known more, should explain more, but if you have to blame, at least blame the right people.
Last comment from me on this issue and I fully appreciate and understand the frustration that people feel who have money stuck, I'm in the same club but will never discuss with phil, john or other FT pros as simply f all they can do and not their fault.
Will stick to high stakes and fun stories again.

thanks for posting Tom, good stuff. hopefully some hand histories get tweeted out as well. these super high stakes sessions are insane
also, very balanced and insightful post on the ftp thing. I just hope the rest of 2+2 couldsee it that way too. (I too have money on there fwiw) And I agree, back to posting about high stakes!

Translation: I have heard Phil Ivey/John Juanda's version of events and accepted it as fact.
