From personal experience - pretty accurate.

The only REMOTELY political comment made in the "last one" was made by a 2 plus 2 mod! You use that to shut down a thread asking for player opinions on an important incident in international poker???

Oh noes, and with the intense and incorruptible regulation and enforcement in Russia, there's no hope for illegal gambling operations!

Nice try. The one you posted may now be the "last one" because there have been at least 2 more threads on this since I made my post, but if you are going to post in NVG to complain about modding instread of in About The Forums, at least get try to get your facts straight. The url you posted and the one I posted are different, and that's generally an indication we're not talking about the same thread.

“Here we are, in one of the biggest, most beautiful, most expensive cities in the world,” he said. “And yet other people can decide that I cannot gamble if I want to.”

Can someone remind this guy he lives in Russia FFS

Nice try! But even the mod who posted last in the thread I linked pointed the closure in your direction in PM. Point is it was closed for "political content" even though NO political content was contained therein!

Re: News: Russia shuts down all its legal gambling

Russians are too smart to be constrained by "law". A well placed bribe - finding the right "consultant" close to Putin - will take care of everything. This is just another revenue generator for politicians.

in Soviet Russia Gambling ****s you down.... i think like many things in Russia, the underground games will now flourish & that may be exactly why they shut down the legal operation.
