Is skillbet licensed by any official body?
A couple of the allowed states certainly do not make sense. It is leading me to question the legal judgement of the site's owners.

@imjoshsizemore - Oops, I totally missed NV being on there. Bummer. Can I just claim a different state like GA (where I grew up) and play in CA :P

New York is the one that jumps out at me, which other(s) concern you?

Utah as well for me.
Don't know enough about the other states to comment.

Re: New poker site claims to be legal in 28 states, including Colorado
Awesome site. I've been playing a lot over the past couple of days. A few things that would make it better:
-Deeper stacked tables. 100 and 200 BB tables would be a great addition as 50 BB's only allows for so much poker skill.
-PLO tables (and other games but I think PLO should be top priority)
-More traffic! Let's go people!

What's the deposit/withdrawal situation? How is this kosher?

Not sure I understand the question. Deposit with paypal, visa, mastercard, dwolla, etc. Withdrawal by check or dwolla.
Our customers are quite pleased with this so far (particularly the speed).
Should we do something different?

Here are the 16 prohibited states by King.com (which we understand to be the world's largest skill game provider).
Alaska
Louisiana
Arizona
Maryland
Arkansas
Missouri
Connecticut
Montana
Delaware
South Carolina
Florida
South Dakota
Illinois
Tennessee
Iowa
Vermont
We have excluded 22 states.

Re: New poker site claims to be legal in 28 states, including Colorado
Tried this out earlier today (with play money, real money is prohibited in my state apparently). Pretty fun concept, I especially like how I can watch how my opponent played the same hand as me.
I saw the bots do some ridiculous things though, like fold preflop to a limp min-reraise from an opponent when the bot had position (this is something my opponent did a lot and got a fold every time. He might have been intentionally exploiting this.)
If the bots are too exploitable then the game will stop being fun, because it's less about applying your poker skill and more about finding and exploiting holes in the AI better than your opponent. This wouldn't be so bad if the AI was solid because it's analogous to finding weaknesses in a human opponent's game, but when the AI does silly things like ignoring pot odds, the game kinda devolves into something that's not very poker-like.

Main problem I had was with the fees. It just breeds bad feelings. The company should just eat the transaction fees imo. Also the deposit limits were very low for anything but Dwolla.
Has anyone ever actually used Dwolla before for anything else? How reliable are they? I've never heard of them and am hesitant to use them just for this.

That's fine but, New York and Utah are extremely likely to view your site as gambling despite how many times you say it is skill based. The precedent shows that you are unlikely to win on that argument in those states. If your legal team is just going off of what other skill game sites are doing then they are giving you terrible guidance. This is way way different than your typical skill game site.
