It's probably going to suck and I'm going to end up watching it before bed because it's 80 minutes long.
movie's main character ('bobby') was also one of the writers. it's no big time production and will be available via video on demand. depending on the price i might watch it just out of curiosity.

I'm starting think the guys who make these movies think these chips look cleaner on screen or something.

The amount of money you are talking to get custom chips is tiny. That can't be the reason. They are either completely clueless or prefer the ****ty walmart chips for some reason.

Yep, store-brand Al Pacino is definitely holding some kind of Axe Gun.

I was thinking that but why not get plaques to add that more dramatic affect? idk you think one guy would be like wtf are with these Walmart chips or at least suggest chips with denominations.

I guess what really bugs me about the movie is I know I will see it regardless of all the warnings lol

Every card in that game is bent. No wonder those bankers get "cleaned out".

Also a NL250k dealer shouldn't be flashing cards (see :23), even if the poker table is about the size of an ice rink.

And if you were wondering about the chip denominations I think I figured it out.

Red: 5k
Green: 5k
White: 5k
Blue: 5k
Black: 5k

It's all part of the plot. Spoiler Alert:

Spoiler:
The film follows two friends who need to quickly earn enough cash playing poker to pay off a large debt. The term "rounder" refers to a person travelling around from city to city seeking high-stakes cash games. Everyone brings $250k to the table, but while no one is looking the kid keeps topping up his stack with identical chips that he bought from Walmart for $8.99. Kid get caught, etc.

Push chips to seat 5. Welcome to the game, everyone requires a 2-3 finger scotch drink, except for you lime guy.

Do yourself a favor watch California Split.

@:07 it appears that there is a misdeal. The player directly across from the dealer is already looking at his cards and the dealer blows right by him.

@ :12 they show a brief case. @:26 the same briefcase is on the shelf behind Paul Sorvino. @:42 the same briefcase now is in the possession of the host.

@:20 Paul Sorvino says ‘they’ but when they cut to the game he is in it.

@ :22 World’s biggest poker table. At least they are using coasters! Dealer needs a rattan.

The chips are an immediate tip off that the producers aren’t poker players because if they were something that elementary would not have been missed. Either that or they blew their budget on the AX gun!
