Couldn't agree more. As someone older than most on here, I understand his deference to his elders.

We all think we have all the answers when we are young. Only when we get older do we realize that we were so wrong and immature. As the old adage goes-"my parents got so much smarter once I got older."

I hope that many 2 + 2 posters do listen to his advice. Even though much of what he says may appear in generic terms in self-help books, he is young enough to get the attention of the younger generation.

Great read. Looking for more from Phil in the future.

Hey, at least you're rounding again, right? You're gonna thank me for that someday.

It would be great to get regular updates from him, but he puts so much into each post, it's probably never going to happen. I usually read his stuff over a couple of times, including that amazing well he had a few years back.

This was the only thing I didn't agree with in his blog. I really like his writing and respect his opinion a lot, but this part struck me as weird.

You can have friends that are having a bad time, a bad period in their life where nothing positive comes from their mouths. I think it's good to be there for them, even if you gain no positive things from it at all. Even if it's a long period.

He probably didn't mean to tell to drop them as soon as you gain nothing positive from it anymore, but still kinda weird formulated.
