Hello

Thank you for your follow up.

There is an equal chance of hitting each of the segments when you get to the jackpot round. In other words chances are 1 in 8 or 12.5%.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Simon

As several posters have pointed out the calculated break even jackpot size does not pass the sniff test. And they are in fact right.

The reason is the posters that have tried to make these calculations are basing their calculations on a bad assumption. The assumption is that the EV of every play is the same. This assumption is true in a lottery or traditional casino game but is not true for The Deal.

There are three contributors to the expected value of each play of the Deal. The first two contributing factors, the prizes won based on your random five cards and the money won by you hitting the jackpot are the same for every play made. The third and most significant factor, the money won from the prize pool split when someone else wins the jackpot, only applies to your first play in any 12 hour period. For every consecutive play within that 12 hours the EV contribution of this third factor is $0.00

Simply put if you are playing once every 12 hours for 7 StarsCoin you are making money off of all the other fools that are playing more than once and the ones playing for 70 StarsCoins. And you are really loving the idiots making multiple 70 StarsCoin plays.

It is not even possible to calculate a breakeven point without having a reasonable estimate of the ratio of Number of Unique Players in 12 Hours : (Number of 7 Coin plays + 10 * Number of 70 Coin Plays)

Currently there are many many fools making 70 StarsCoin plays and multiple in 12 hour period plays. For the smart ones making one every 12 hour 7 StarsCoin plays it is currently a printing press for money with very high ROI's. Only play when the jackpot is larger and you will see higher ROI's.

If everyone catches on and only plays once every 12 hours for 7 StarsCoins then the breakeven point will approach the calculated values. Assuming the given calculations are indeed correct.

FWIW, it's the same thing several people have said, but I think he's worded it in a way that will make it a little clearer for some.

i think you shouldn't call people who can afford to invest "ohmygod70c" in slots "idiots", maybe just maybe they make $1mill+ a year and just want to relief some stress with some gambling, which is clearly +ev in their life even if it's -ev in your poker universe.

Followed shortly thereafter by another $0.39 I was receiving email notifications of payouts at first. But since the new year that seems to have stopped.

If i calculated correctly, the jackpot has exceeded the point where it is guaranteed to be +EV no matter how many times you play (until someone wins it of course)

also the jackpot has to be non rigged in any way, too many casino bull**** has been going lately, and casinos are shady.
else it's just better to stick to 1 spin every 12 hours

perhaps the deals exists to facilitate the process - rakeback -> $$$ -> rake -> stars' pocket.

How do you mean? The jackpot hasn't been hit. And when it is it'll be more than $.65 shared.

So, if the if the share of the jackpot is lets say §1, then its §0.1 if you play 7 FPP within the last 12 hours?
