LOL the new feature of seeing the guy spinning the bonus wheel made me laugh so hard !!

theres a 45 seconds waiting time so people can see the table. then the wheel spin automatically, i guess, but the wheel doesnt even make a full round and you finally see the guy getting his dream crushed by winning a measly 1000$.

Every time someone spins the wheel it pops to front and pulls me out of whatever game I'm playing in fullscreen, does anybody know how to disable this? I don't give a crap about some funplayer binking 1k for a royal flush or whatever.

Huh, you're not interested in David Baazovs verticals? Who would have thought that people who just want to play poker don't like that stuff.

If you've been investing 7cent every 12 hours since this promo started then you're going to be well ahead.

So far I've won:
USD 0.95.
USD 1.23
USD 0.48.
USD 1.58.

eg 4.24 for a 14x4 56 cent investment.

That is however if you didn't donk off 350 star coins like me when the promo came online trying to win real money.
But yeah I'm roughly even anyhows, and I may have missed a jackpot or two.

the jackpot seems to hit a lot before 200K. are you guys sure about the 270K EV neutral ?

Can we get a strategy discussion going on which cards it's best to discard? So far picking the first two has been a disaster.

As if Stars is doing something that's unethical or that is or should be against the law. Stars is well within their right to get money from ignorant idiots trying to hit a jackpot. Nobody should be urging Stars' pros to resign. Grow up.

nvg needs more stupid pictures, it is a statistical fact

dont forget the fact that the bigger the prize the better it is to start playing every 12 hr, because the price and chance to win stays the same while prize is bigger, so you can avoid getting in before the prize gets bigger than 50k for example

also multiple jackpots can happen in the same 12 h period

When I wrote this, it was true.

However - it is definitely available in Australia.

I believe Australia has different gambling laws that are applied when it's a lottery (no skimming / no house).

Huh?

There is a lack of basic understanding of numbers and statistics in your post.

The point at which someone wins does NOT reflect (or have to coincide with) the EV neutral number!

The EV neutral number is what it is - some prizes will be won below this number and others above it, that's just variance. In fact there's no guarantee that the point at which someone wins will be anywhere near 270K at any time ever. The 270K merely reflects where you can expect to start theoretical profitability, it does not guarantee that it will happen.

You are right about this and this means you are actually putting in 0.0616$ when you put in 7sc. And this means the EV of a spin should be 0.0616$ if you would win 100% of the jackpot. Little more than that actually since the jackpot start with 25k

About the BE point. When the game is not raked, then why are we calculating this .
There needs to be a flaw somewhere, we are calculating to make sure Stars allocated the correct side prices. Maybe they messed up and you should receive more $ for certain hand values who knows.

Like i said we can calculate the entire "50% of JP to the ppl who played last 12 hours" into the equation by making it a winner take all format.

The only thing i can see to be wrong are these Jackpot prices.

We only have this screenshot and Stars did not list the prices on their site.
They could be random, So if anyone is watching the jackpot wheel, please share a screenshot to confirm these prices : )

For this rake free game, of which only 9.2% of the BI go's to future jackpots, An BE point of 272k seems too high even when you only win half.
Clearly there is something wrong, and its interesting to see what it is.

Was waiting for 150k to hit before playing before - but have gone all the way down to around 100k, and am getting payouts like Lolnhdonkwp ...

If there were more than a couple of buttons when playing The Deal, probably wouldn't bother But guess it's easy enough to just play if am already sitting in front of the computer ...

Maybe after the newness wears off. maybe it'll be better to wait for the pot to grow a bit more? Will have to see?

Gosh, not sure - are the chances of sharing the Jackpot different from hitting the Jackpot maybe? So while the chances of getting to spin the wheel personally might be 0.11%, the chances of getting to share in the Jackpot when someone else hits in the next 48hrs is more like 100%?

Not sure why everyone is talking about casino licences and they shouldn't be offering it in their jurisdiction. I am pretty sure in the eyes of the law, gambling stars coin is not technically gambling. I imagine they would need to do in $ or something.

I am also fairly confident that PokerStars legal team is better than the nerds on 2+2 and has at least looked in this...

Stars coins have monetary, redeemable value and so definately would be considered gambling in many jurisdictions. And that's probably why it is not available in many regulated markets right now (UK and Bulgaria are 2)

Are you saying that because they are doing it that means it is 100% legal and not even grey area? Have we learned nothing from black Friday?

Im not a lawyer, so I have no idea, much like everyone else in this thread.

I know it wont be going away anytime soon, and I also know that the people on 2+2 have never achieved anything by moaning about it. Remember the boycotts? They turned out well didn't they? NVG is just a bunch of bitter break even players bitching about everything stars does these days.
