its fun and about the same vig as other table games.

one real good thing about vegas is they cater to what people want.

try having a flip for a 1500 seat in a midwest casino, not going to happen.

30 bucks rake on a single table is actually amazing. most places price out one tables with 20 percent rake and you have to wait to start a game.

Is your EV greater in this or by trying to win it up via blackjack, roulette or any other table game?

And by "few", I trust you mean "at least twenty". I recall hearing about them in the early 90's though you can be sure I wasn't playing. I am pretty sure, as well, that they were vig-free. Then again, in those days, the player buffet was free, and I once got two tickets to it from Jack Binion hisself.

Prob around the same.. Rake $30..

Blackjack has .5 edge.. Betting 1,2,4,2 and you turn 1k into 10k = paying around $45 in "rake". (9k x .5%)

Actually the rake is only $17 each - the payout is $10k in tournament chips plus $130 cash.

Great use of one of the fastest dealers at the series

What happens if two or more players chop the hand? The article says they don't get chips. I guess the people who chopped the previous hand do another flip and keep doing it until 1 person wins?

Sick flip.

They should make it Omaha flips though. Omaha flips are a lot more fun.

If they did that we would never see Ziigmund in a WSOP event ever again. He would just stay at the flip table.

Looks like NVG's favorite player, Foxwoods $5/$10 pro Frankie Flowers was on the receiving end of one of these:

How do you win one of these and decide not to slowroll?

Slight derail, but do Stars/FTP and other non-wsop.com sites run sattys to the ME?

I was thinking the same thing. Add in the slow-roll factor, everybody looking at everybody's hand trying to figure out who wins, and you'd actually get your vig's worth of entertainment.

You'd think that for that much money he could at least slowly burn and turn the cards. In fact, the hole cards should be dealt either face up or the players should flip them before the flop. Make it more fun for everyone.

Of course the Asian won. Not sure wtf the other players were thinking going against him. Clearly he is the more experienced player with any 2 cards.

Cool story, except the Asian didn't win.

Charging $30 rake is so cheap.

Why don't the players organise the flip themselves?

13 x $770 or whatever.

Each player gets the value of a card and they pick a table in action and the player with the value of first river card dealt scoops the money.

Vig free.

Also, they've been running one hand satellites at the MasterClassics in Amsterdam for many many years (juice free)

One time I guy I knew won 4 straight and the casino banned him from playing any more because he was killing the action.

Also saw a guy cheat in a one hand satty once in England.

He and his wife both entered and he swapped one of his cards with one of hers to make a winning straight.
