Feel free to check the history on TitanPoker.com and ask them who it was that one the jackpot on August 29th, which caused them to reduce the jackpot to $25K on August 30th. No one won it yet they reduced the jackpot down to $25K.
I am the iPoker security manager and would like to explain our JP claim procedure in view of the allegations made by skippyjonnyo (nickname: King0fp0ker78). The advertised Jackpot on August 30th was $65K and we received a claim from King0fp0ker78. On receiving any claim we reset the Jackpot to its base level, $25K in this case. This is done in the expectation of paying the first claim and to avoid advertising an amount that has already been “won” but is waiting for clearance. Should we subsequently refuse payment on grounds of collusion the jackpot is re-set to the level it was prior to the claim.
On 1st September we received a claim from a Victor Chandler player. This claim was for the advertised amount of $25K. We received the VC claim whilst we were still investigating King0fp0ker’s claim and that is why the amount on display didn’t increase. The VC player was paid $65K precisely because we turned down King0fp0ker’s claim.
We have absolutely no interest in not paying genuine Jackpots but will not pay when we believe the claim is fraudulent. The Jackpot prize is funded by the players and our job is to pay legitimate claims and deny the collusive ones. Year to date we have paid 13 Rio Jackpots for a total of $725K and $124K in consolation prizes.
