cant stop smiling at the fact that the expert on peace of mind and tranquility chose a 2+2 name named after the most electrifying move in sports entertainment's history.

Re: Meditation and relaxation for poker players

Solid post OP. Although I wasn't around for the early days, I suspect that 2+2 was founded on sharing ideas in a constructive manner such as this. It's rare to see a post these days where people aren't just looking to tear apart others. I wonder if reading the content alone is effectively calming the readers who would've previously made negative comments. I guess one should never underestimate the power of positive thinking (and actions).

Does this make sense?

Re: Meditation and relaxation for poker players

one of these days I am going to make a hatha yoga video just for poker players...I dont really think seated meditation is all that great for poker players since you play the game sitting on your ass anyhow...

I'll make a video running you through some basic yoga poses that will build your strength, flexibility and resistance to stress...I'll even do the entire dialogue from the poker players mind and how to not react to the stuff that happens to us every day

That's a good idea, thanks!

Re: Meditation and relaxation for poker players

Thanks for the bump

For those of you that like meditating and would like to go a little deeper I recommend the 10 day vipassana course as taught by S.N. Goenka.
Visit www.dhamma.org for more information.

Also some good stuff on Youtube:

Osho
Eckhart Tolle
J. Krishnamurti
John Kabat Zinn

And remember, don't push the river.
