If they test for drugs and Ritalin is a baned substance then it doesn't matter if was by doctors orders, it is on the list so find another drug for your disorder or don't play in the WSOP would be the rule.
This is how you win at the 2009 WSOP.

Medical marijuana, fully legal with a prescription, increases awareness of opponents' thoughts on an intuitive cell level. Vicodin for calm nerves during staredowns when you bluff the river after a busted draw. Ritalin helps maintain an intense cokehead focus during the exhausting, long days at WSOP.

Win win win!

Also cking, what game did you play him in? People say he's a beast limit player.

Wow, lol, how embarrassing. The very worst back-tracking I've ever seen.

Re: Matusows book and drug testing for the WSOP

Major League Baseball allows ADHD exemptions for use of various amphetamine based medications including Ritalin and Adderall. You need a doctor's note, like when you missed your biology final. For 2008 season 106 MLB players had exemptions. Meaning that ADHD is at least 300% more prevalent in MLB players than in the rest of the population. The preliminary figures for 2009 are that there are now 148 ADHD medication exemptions.

it's pretty common for good athletes who don't have the grades to get scripts in hope of improving classroom production, often at the encouragement of the coach
