If you drug tested 9 poker players at the final table of a WSOP tourney, They would disqualify at least 70%. Drugs are good for poker, Most of the drugs taken by poker players make them worse at the game. For example pot, Pot may the the greatest thing ever to come out of the ground of the earth, but it doesn't exactly make you the focused player you should be in a WSOP tourney.

What drugs should you test for? would you rather play with a final table of strung out coke addicts and pot heads or focused good poker players? I say there needs to be more drugs in poker! they should hand out joints and lines of coke to players at the WSOP that want it, I would make allot more money!

Just a case of good fashion ribbing, just like how he used to consider people like HOSS_TBF "internet donkeys". I've played only tournies with him, i was at his table on day 1 of the main event (the feature table) for like 3hrs but they never even showed me at the table. Also played with him on day 2 and a bunch of times in random prelims and WPTs

Whether its adderal or ritalin - it does not really matter - the point is that without either he would lose or break even - with them he wins. By his own admission - without them he sees only the cards - with the medication he sees so much more.

I have 2 degen friends who buy ritalin before playing the Thursday night $30 home game. Needless to say it's hard to have a conversation with them since they are so focused. They are like dogs watching squirrels.

i'm sure if you talked to them they'd be happy to engage in conversation... when i'm on the stuff i want to talk to everyone i see lol.
seriously though Ritalin is a wonder drug. it's not like a fun thing but it helps me do better in school! it makes you alot more productive too. typing is faster, easier and a paper that would normally take 2 hrs working normally can be finished in like 30 mins

the wsop (or anything really) would not ban someone for taking drugs that are prescribed to them.

my guess is it would be a pretty random result. keep in mind payouts now compared to 10-15 years ago are alot more.

but with the drugs he focusses so much BETTER than the rest of us - that is the whole point . Yes he has an illness - noone is suggesting he has good health but why should he be able to profit at expense of well (non medicated ) players
