i already posted it in MTTc, and gonna post it here too.

a guy named Jonathan Little added a lot of guys on Facebook, today, it seems like.

I just got a AIM from him, i don't know him personally and never talked to him.

here's the convo:

JonLittle (06:50:07): sup
JonLittle (06:50:11): its jon little
HotKarl (06:50:22): hey
JonLittle (06:50:33): which site are you playing on stars?
HotKarl (06:51:04): yeah, stars, ftp
JonLittle (06:51:19): Would you be interested in 1600 on stars for 1200 cash

he found my AIM cause of Facebook, and he added a lot of well known players there too. I doubt that is him.

this is obv not his name he used on AIM, but i can release the name if people think its correct.

if its really him, my bad... I just wanted to make sure.

Looks like the usual ****** line "Would you be interested in 1600 on stars for 1200 cash", and I believe his AIM was hacked late last year.

Hmm Jonathan Little involved in a scam of some sorts?

I don't believe it, he is so squeaky clean, what incentive would a red-pro have to cheat?

I'm just saying he might have let one of his friends use his Facebook account, but he wouldn't do anything that stupid so I guess not.

Why are the scammers so fkn stupid is beyond my imagination, like i have several people on my IM that i will trust with transfers due to their reputation on danish forums, but when they come to me and ask: "would you be interested...." and then offers a bargain price, it's so obvious.

Not that i want to school the scammers or anything, but if i got an IM from someone i trusted saying "Hey, can you help me out with $500 on FTP? I can send you Stars or UB or whatever back" I would probably help the guy out.

How do we know he hasn't hacked your 2+2 account and is using reverse psychology so we will send him money? How do we know, Jon?

i thought sh00ter was being sarcastic referencing some situation i didn't know but i guess he just doesn't understand how scamming works..

usually the hacker is somebody that the person they are impersonating doesn't know..

just to point out the obvious, the fact that no 2p2 accounts have really been hacked afaik makes it seem very likely people have weak security questions, or either it's an inside job like durrrr said. but weak security questions are preventable

Fwiw, I have emailed facebook but they sent me some autoreply, which lets me know they either dont care or dont read their emails. If anyone knows how to actually get in touch with them, please let me know.

It is 100% not me on facebook. My account still works fine and I havent added anyone in a long time. This guy has made an account with the same pic I have on mine, from what I hear, and is simply pretending to be me.

it took me 4 days to get a response on why my login information was randomly changed (I wasn't hacked or anything.)

There is no phone number or "direct" way to contact AFAIK. Not surprisingly, their support is awful.
