Greg Raymer Eliminated by Mike Matusow

It's funny how things work out at the WSOP. Greg Raymer drew a seat right next to his nemesis Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, and just as peeple were thinking to themselves how well the two former rivals were getting along, Matusow somehow went and messed it all up. We're not sure exactly what happened and/or what was said, but Raymer was eliminated by Matusow and left the tournament with a bang. Raymer got up from his seat, ripped the 8

in half and stormed out of the room.

I thought these two guys were getting along now?

This sounds totally unlike Raymer. I hope he posts an explanation. Matusow must really be able to get under Raymer's skin because as far as I can tell Raymer is usually unaffected by what other people say.

Raymer seemed incredibly frustrated by poker when I played with him in the O8 tournaments. He said he's been playing a ton and hasn't done very well, so it may have nothing to do with Matusow at all.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was a joke/stunt, Raymer always talks about how 88 is his favorite hand(two red eights if i remember correctly). And they're both famous for their little feud in the ME the year raymer won. I'd be a little surprised if Greg really went berserk and ripped up a card in anger.

I'd like to hear Greg's side of it.

But it's interesting, there's no doubt that Hachem and Gold have been very, very frustrated with poker at times since their ME win. Maybe Jerry Yang, who seems to be just chilling and playing whenever he feels like it, is on to something.

When you play in a la la land of good cards for a few years, real poker variance can come as a shock.

The guy won the ME and then went deep the very next year. He is used to things going his way, and it appears at the moment they are not. He doesn't seem to be taking it too well.
