Marafioti isn't just some dork, he's a cheat and a scammer who has screwed over multiple people. He doesn't get "a pass" because he's never been brought to justice.

As for whether he's emotionally disturbed or not -- it's pretty arrogant to assume that somebody is too 'emotionally disturbed' to take some fun being poked at them -- particularly when they're as fast to dish it out as Marafioti is.

If Marafioti is really this vulnerable little soul who is in need of care and protection -- well, he's in continuous contact with his parents, who are in the health care business. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't leave him out there hanging.

I didnt know any of the details of the stories about MM, so I listened to the whole interview that srsly used for the video. It was really sad in a way.

Prior to the start oh the interview, this Anders guy says that we should expect Fbombs from MM since he's volitile. But what actually happened was MM was thoughtful and measured in his responses. He talked about his anger issues, he apologized for many of the examples of bad behavior that the interviewer brought up, and came across as pretty level headed and aware of his past issues.

IMO, the interviewer just kept asking more and more provacative questions, and really seemed to be baiting MM into getting angry. Finally he did, but it wasnt until the 38 minute mark. Then he finally got pissed off, and it started with a rant about srysly.

So then at the end, the interviewer, after goading MM for almost 40 mins, says, see, I told you there would be Fbombs.

Now I have no idea whether MM actually cheated or did some of the other things he's accused of. But as far as that interview went, it came across as "let's see if we can poke the bipolar guy enough to make him go crazy" and he finally did.

But as an outsider hearing that interview, MM came across as a guy who yes, thought highly of himself, but also admitted some faults. Then he finally cracked after 40 mins of questions like "the twoplustwo people thing youre an *******, what do you say about that?

So ya he ended up attacking srsly, but if that was the excuse for the second video, IMO it shows a lot of deliberate mean spirited malice, and not just "a liitle humor". EspIally seeing how many people seem to believe MM is bipolar, to make and post a video like that for the world to see seems pretty hateful to me.

If you havent listened to that interview I 'd recommend it. I was very surprised how Mm came across in it.

I'm not defending MM or his previous actions at all, I just don't think it's appropriate to make a video strictly intended to poke fun at the mentally disturbed.

Also, I didn't see srsly in Vegas last summer when he was riding Marco's tip but heard he was a socially awkward soft talker.

I would have to agree with the sentiment that this video was a bit too mean spirited for my taste but ADZ is too much of a jive turkey for me to feel pity for him. He has been acting like a complete clown in the spotlight for a while now and its time for him to take his medicine both literally and figuratively.

IIRC, there was an interview where he did admit to stealing credit cards to make deposits years ago. Whether that's the extent of his scamming remains speculative, but is enough to make calling him a thief accurate. As far as him being an ahole, while a matter of interpretation, I think that's pretty accurate too. So he behaves like an ahole and these videos call him out as an ahole. While these videos serve a purpose of humor to the masses, they also serve a purpose that being an ahole has consequences.

I wish ADZ was cool so I could be all like "Hey guys, quit picking on him! You're being ruthless!" But, he's just so wormy. Man, what is it with this guy? Take some of that money and get rewired, dude. A lot of people are diagnosed bipolar manic depressive, they take medication for it and get evened out. It's an explanation, it's not an excuse. I keep imagining that ADZ has this entirely other secret gay (as in "sleeps with members of the same sex" gay) life away from poker that he sneaks away to when he gets mental and it calms him down. Anyways, hilarious thread.

As much as I agree, over here we put it on prime time TV and call it a "talent show".

Let's say there's a playground bully who struts around abusing people (including the girls, mind you), stealing lunch money and generally being a spoiled a-hole. When another kid finally punches him in the face, should we say "Hey, that was crossing the line; clearly the bully has emotional problems." No. The guy deserved to get punched in the face as a consequence for his actions and treatment of other people, and hopefully he'll now be less likely to do it in the future. I think it's pretty ridiculous to paint MM as a victim here given how many people he's actually victimized. If SS had made a video picking on some rando poker player who didn't do anything to anyone, that's cyberbullying. This is just punching a guy in the face who deserves it.
