Matt Hawrilenko (Hoss_TBF) WINS $5,000 Six-handed No Limit Hold'em

After a flop of {6-Clubs} {2-Spades} {2-Hearts} Mike Caro announced a bet of 26,000 from the small blind, but only tossed out 16,000.

Phil Hellmuth put out 35,000, thinking he was raising Caro. When the dealer informed Caro that he was short 9,000, a controversy arose whether or not Hellmuth should sill be forced to raise. It took three floormen to make the ruling that it was just a call because Hellmuth put out less than 1.5 times the amount of the bet.

As the confussion cleared, the {6-Spades} fell on the turn. Mike Caro moved all in for 40,000 and Hellmuth called.

Caro: {7-Clubs} {7-Spades}
Hellmuth: {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades}

The river was a meainingless {5-Spades} eliminating "The Mad Genius of Poker" from the tournament.

Hellmuth is now 10th in chips with 120 players remaining.

Please let him make heads up and then lose.

If SFD or one of the remaining Finns won't make it, then he will have at least a shot to win.

Go Phil! Would be epic to make that bracelet in the last event before the Main Event after that course of the Series.

Mike Caro is worse at NL holdem than most of the $.25-.50c players online.

I hope Hellmuth bubbles the final table....

So there are 20 tables left? Seems a little early to be calling it a run bc, if I read PokerNews right, they havent even burst the bubble yet(90) pay.

It's not "making a run" when they're not even in the money yet ffs.

Too slow

Surviving 85% of the field is a run imo.

Hellmuth said he needs to Final Table this one, because that's the only way his parents would come to watch. Will be sad for him if really bubbles the Final Table.

Re: Hellmuth making a run in the $5,000 Six-handed No Limit Hold'em

my favorite moment from yesterday's coverage

"He'd slip down below 30,000, then get some back in a hand in which he limped from the button, then called the small blind's raise to 3,700. The flop came {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}, the small blind bet 6,500, and Hellmuth called. The turn was the {5-Spades} and both checked. The river was the {6-Spades}. The SB checked, Hellmuth bet 5,000, and his opponent called. Hellmuth showed {K-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and his opponent mucked. He was back up to 40,000."
