Guys this is nothing.

Next week I'm having a tournament with a 150 million dollar prize pool. In my parents' basement. Details are still somewhat tentative but a lot of asian degenerate high rolling ballas and sketchy russian mob millionaires have issued strong verbal commitments.

a giant sponsored tourney in Macau would be incredible for the game. 200k buyin completely ruins it tho.

why not get 15 million added to the prizepool and advertise to asia to try to get the biggest 10k ever? who cares about a 200k buyin tournament but current poker geeks and people who play super high stakes poker.

This to me seems to be utter garbage. Nobody sensible I know in Macau knows anything about it. None of the casinos, poker room managers, big game players, junket room operators or media guys has heard anything credible. You also have to get any poker event approved by the DICJ (Macau regulator) in conjunction with the hosting casino. Also, as gambling on TV is highly restricted in China and promotion of gaming generally frowned upon, why would Chinese institutions support it. Publicity grab
