Part of Lucietta's settlement included a $1,200,000 purse collection, $1,000,000 in jewelry and alimony of $180,000 a month.

That 5k contribution is a bit shady to say the least, also pretty weird how the settlement said "alimony will stop when tiltware stops paying", like it was a realistic scenario?

Cherry picking the assets so she doesn't get Tiltware liability is f'n boss. Wonder why Ivey ever agreed to that? I'd be like, you want 40% of my interests ... then enjoy 40% of my share of the giant black hole that US poker players threw their money into for months.

Not necessarily.

He wasn't paying her the $180,000/month alimony; Full Tilt was. That all came to an end on Black Friday. I think that was a pretty sharp provision he got inserted into the divorce settlement.

From the LVRJ article:

The divorce agreement included alimony for Luciaetta Ivey from money Phil Ivey receives from Tiltware. According to the agreement, if Phil Ivey stops receiving funds from Tiltware, Luciaetta Ivey's alimony "will cease."

During a telephone interview in early November, Luciaetta Ivey told the Las Vegas Review-Journal she received monthly alimony payments from January 2010 until April 2011.

Looks like she's the one that got pwned.

From the article it looks like Ivey had to take ownership of $15 million of debt that belonged to his wife. If so, ****ing sick
