But even where not capitalized and bolded, the language itself is required under the Rules of Civil Procedure (in Texas, for example, see TRCP 99(c)).

No you haven't committed a crime. The next day you just tell the secret service that you were very drunk. This also works for other crimes - its called the drunk defense. You need different degrees of blood alcohol for different crimes though. Murder is highest at 1.4, common misdemeanors just a few beers....

It´s just an excuse.

When LEON winns, he NEVER COMPLAIN - .. even the last time with croko (a special player) and he was drunk at Kings.. cost him around 250-300k EUR.


1.There is no excuse if you are even drunk. You are responsible of your action – period. The whole casino business is part of this game - don´t drink and drive - the same thing

Other thing is 2. the “next day agreement”

This coin has two sides:

It´s very easy to bring 2 “friends” even when you are paying for them/them – Please do not misunderstand – to confirm that you have an legal AGREEMENT with you opponent.

Than you say "take 1 mio. and we are good – done deal".

In this case it seems that Matt took the money BUT did not agree!!!

And here it will be very HARD for LEON (even when you habe “ friends) to win at court.

It´s most likely, that LEON has to pay the open amout of 2 mio.

As you say, I think the important point is that Matt lost 1.5m before that happened and apparently paid up the very next day, so stiffing him is pretty scumbag move.
Also, since when being drunk would give someone a "free pass" to anything, especially in poker when alcohol is flowing everywhere ?
I mean, drunk players are part of the "bread and butter" of any pro player, who could seriously accept this as an excuse on a POKER forum ?

Leon always looked like a nice guy to me and passionate about the game, tho, so maybe we just don't know all of the story...

How stupid do you have to be to be lending a drunk money to play you in poker? God these people are brain dead morons and deserve to be ripped off.

I heard from several ppl that they were both drinking a similar amount and he was in no way too drunk to know what he was doing. If you are sober enough to confirm amounts won and lost via text message etc, how drunk are you?
