Howard Lederer speaking on Inside Deal on why Durrrr isn't signed to Full Tilt:

"I'm sure that Full Tilt would love to have him.

"I think its just a matter of Full Tilt and Durrrr working it out, and working out a fair price.

"I don't think there's anything in the way of that happening, exceept for both sides deciding to make it happen.

"Obviously Durrrr is an enormously talented player, one of these days it would be great if he were representing the site."

iirc durrrr didn't want the standard deal of 35hr/100% rb,

was intrested in the same type of deal as patrik's on i think? which is a % of the sites revenue...

i respect him alot for not taking a deal with a pokersite and being his own man, tom should just open up his own poker site imo, **** the rest!

How much do you think durrrr is losing in rake per year?

One of the biggest reasons I respect him is because he doesn't walk around acting like a billboard.

ptr has him paying about $15k just for holdem. Since I am a master exrapolator, I will guess no more than $50k for all games.

i think they're done chopping up the site's revenue, i.e. Team Full Tilt

after that, i don't think it's about money alone. I think it's more important to have the freedom to work with other companies/ have other deals (at least, from what I can recall from interviews).

hmm, I wonder why that was, I can't see why that wouldn't appeal to him?

Full Tilt have the upper hand becuase Durrrr has camped out on FTP, playing about 75% of his play there if not more? If the time comes when he does want sponsorship, for more exposure etc. or whatever, he'll be the one going to them, they don't need him because at present he won't bring anyone new to the tables.

Are FTP thinking that it's not worth giving up another percentage as Patrik perhaps hasn't delivered on the marketing potential they saw when he signed?

Since signing PA, he's only worn company colours on HSP and was ill for most (if not all) of the WSOP.

actually if he and his friends pooled their money this might not be a bad idea for a bunch of rich young dudes who know everything about poker but are probably sick of playing it by now. It seems like the older generation of poker big names have all gone into the business side so they will have to eventually also right? If playing high stakes is a dream then what is collecting rake every second? the best dream?

I find it interesting that Lederer speaks of Full Tilt in the third person when he's the mac daddy there.

Durrr is probably waiting to make an ESPN final table where he would in all likelihood get a sick sick deal.

isn't lederers part only good for around 17% or something?

if anyone is worthy of being a part of team "full tilt" then its almost certainly durrrr.

he has every right to be holding out for a better offer from ftp, at the end of the day he's 100x better than 90% of the guys that are listen on ftp's website.

he didn't really bother with many of the wsop events this year, so i doubt this is the case.

He seems to be focusing on throwing around challenges than making a name for himself by winning a bracelet or two.

For him to be a worthwhile 'aquisition', he needs more TV time on mainstream TV, ie ESPNs WSOP coverage.
I would estimate 99% of people who know who he is already have a Full Tilt account. Red Pro status' primary goal is to attract new players. Durrrr isn't going to do that at the moment. He's just giving already registered young players hard-ons.

If another site came along with nosebleed tables and somehow attracted the big players (unlikely, seeing as they are mostly red already), then making Durrrr red would be a move to retain players.

tom would market the site alot better than 70-80% of the guys who are already rostered to ftp without doubt, he's known worldwide in the poker community through these challenges he's laid down + appearing on g4 (a small cameo for the time being but better than nothing) is also doing his chances of gaining a really good deal no harm.
