LAPT tournament suspended, then canceled

from recent update on pokernews.com

Play Suspended Indefinitely for Unknown Reason

Play has been suspended due to an unknown and vague issue. There are 89 players remaining and the entire tournament room was cleared, which included dealers, players, staff, and media. We were not given a clear answer on the exact time play will resume. Stay tuned for updates on the latest wrinkle on the LAPT Mexico.

anyone know whats up?

This is such utter garbage, making everyone feel like criminals and make them feel like they are doing something wrong.

WTF?

So sick. So sick also poker tourneys vs poker cash games is not made clear in laws are not the same thing. I play alot of bridge tourneys and they are just like poker tourneys, you pay entry fees and % of the money goes into pricepool. So in this unreal stupid world we live in that it is not clear what poker tournameants are is just tilting me.

Re: LAPT suspended

I will be shocked if they are not underway in short order. They will have to slip a couple hundred pesos under their drivers license.

Running a tournament in Dominican Republic this week BTW where the government is happy to have us.....I think

You're such a gnarly guy. But seriously, how'd it feel in the room when they cleared it in such a vague and weird way?

We though it was going to happen to us in Monte Carlo in 2004, London in 2005 at the Gutshot, and even in Las Vegas when the surveillance cameras were not installed in time.......It is not fun when it happens believe me

Re: LAPT suspended

In the second update of the entire coverage, it says the "ESPN crew is setting up the feature table"

That doesn't sound right. I wouldn't think this is being televised by ESPN down the road.
