Well....lets see what I can add. Becky is my mother, Travis is my brother, Lauran is my sister in-law and Russ is in business with the lot of them. Hammer away with the questions!
This is a freaking huge bump. People don't waste this opportunity.

Re: KGC Releases Final UB Scandal Decision

I find it hard to believe this nvtease is really who he says he is. If so, hopefully he can tell us much more about the cheating or other crimes.

What was the deal with that Computer Store? Check Cashing Place? The accounts named by Nat with Lauren's name on them, supposedly cashed out a lot of money.

Anyway, hope you have some more details about what you know and your family, their connection with Russ, etc

Other than the fine details, seems like everyone has hit the nail on the head. The business and names mentioned are without a doubt the people involved. The damage has been done. Now its up to law enforcement if a law has been broken.

Re: KGC Releases Final UB Scandal Decision

WOW....I had no idea all this even existed until last night. In fact, I went way out of my way to seperate myself from that part of the family. Its a lot to take in. I still havent read al the threads and I was off work today.

I can touch on a couple items. I noticed a timeline mentioned and I'm pretty sure it started well before that. Also, I can understand the 31 cheaters not being mentioned because in all honesty, I believe there might be an innocent person who might not have known.

You see, that segment of the recruiting process was presented as being honest. While most gamblers would realize something might not be on the up and up....others might not.

Imagine this:

Heather: My car broke down again! My worthless ex still hasnt paid his support this month and the kids need clothes.

UB Rep: That stinks. Hey, I know how you can make some money! We got this poker website and tons of pros play on it. Problem is, they are so good that its like taking candy from a baby. If people knew it was them, they wouldnt play.

Heather: ok....what do I do?

UB: Nothing...we set up an account and the pros use it. The pros rack up a bunch of cash and then UB sends a check. That check comes to you. All you have to do is cash it and they let you have XXX percent.

Heather: wow...sweet deal! count me in!

Re: KGC Releases Final UB Scandal Decision

I don't live far from Kanahwake, and I've asked the few people that I know live there about their gaming comission. Only one person heard about it, and when I jokingly said, "like other official functions in a first nations reserve, I bet this is operated from some fatso's basement where he sits in his pjs day and night munching on his doritos and and scratching his balls while watching reruns on youtube," the guy gave me a little nod and smurcked.

the KGC does not have the capacity to deal with this. they are there to fill up a liscencing vacuum and make a profit off of the sites. i wouldn't think they are part of any cover up, it's just that they're underqualified and understaffed to deal with such an issue and they lack the motivation to do so.
