I was wondering why I didn't see more of Kevmath much on 2p2 anymore. It looks like he turned his 2p2 grinding into a full time job He should be an inspiration to some of you NVGers

Feverishly trying to come up with a way to hate on this interview. But I really can't, seemed pretty solid to me.

Can someone with a bit moar "hater" expertise help me out a bit?

His left index finger seems awfully long. So maybe there's that.

Some shocking statements in the interview !! Throwing 2+2 under the buss !?!?

Once Twitter became popular, that’s where I decided to spend most of my time. The 140-character format makes it easy to provide information rapidly to a wider audience.

Moderating and posting was the best way for me to contribute to the poker community at that time. That has definitely decreased since working with BLUFF. With traveling to events, there are some days that I don’t even read 2+2.

He also clearly disregards the serious 2+2 policy of not posting his twitter handle in the location text area, as it clearly links to his personal web site.

Right @SrslySirius
Right @Kevmath

Right 2+2 mods......?

Every time this comes up in mod forum there is no real answer as to if this is policy or not.

If this reeeeaaally bothers anyone, I have no issues removing it. I've given up on trying to be internet famous like Kevin.

It's not a bother at all. In fact, I find it interesting to know the twitter feeds of certain 2+2ers.

Whats bothersome, is they temp ban/ban others for posting their twitter feeds in the location area.

It seems to depend on who the poster is and/or who the mod is.

It's a redonkulous 2+2 policy, that is addressed in different ways, by different mods. Especially when considering some mods, post their twitter feeds in this area. To have a mod, temp ban someone for doing the same is nuts.

You see, watch this. I am going to add my twitter feed back to my location text area.

Hopefully the ban wont be for too long.

I can assure you that I've personally never banned (temp or otherwise) someone for putting their Twitter handle in their location.

The Twitter handle in your location field policy was relaxed a long time ago. Only corporate Twitter accounts are not allowed. Personal accounts are allowed no matter where you work.

Hi Everyone:

KevMath had definitely been a large positive for poker and we at 2+2 are happy to see him have lots of success.

Best wishes,
Mason

Who's been banned for this? I haven't heard of anyone being banned for this alone, especially if it's a first occurrence.

Pretty much this. The problem sometimes is telling one from the other, and not being able to know when someone commercializes their account. At some point, I may once again suggest we remove them altogether.

I was asked to remove my twitter handle from my location because mine is in a grey area. Others who are clearly more monetized than me are allowed to keep theirs. It all depends on what forums you visit and which mods see it. There really should be a consistent policy. I would think mine is ok if others in this thread are allowed to keep theirs.

I don't know what your Twitter handle is but we have a line that cant be crossed at this point. If it is your personal name it is fine. If it matches a web site or brand name we don't allow that as it crosses the line that is reserved for advertisers and those that contribute services to the site.
