Why do people have to hate? I personally think Kevin Smith's podcasts (SMODcast) is great. Not to mention his movies are TONS better than a lot of the crap they make today. To be honest i was not the biggest fan of Zack & Miri, but Clerks I & II were great, and Mallrats had it's moments.

Overall I will spend money to see his movies, cause your guaranteed a few laughs, and overall seems like a funny guy. (And he likes hockey)
