He took 100-1 from someone who posts here, that he wil make a WSOP final table and be 139 lbs or less within 24 hours of the time he busts out of that table. He is about 178 now.

Unfortunately, Ted's wiki doesn't have his height stats on it.

Ted is already doing the weight bet with Matusow. http://www.pokerlistings.com/blog/2m...ow-and-forrest

Ted is like 5"11....ive stood next to him.

I mean a LEGIT 5"11 in a doctor's office, no shoes...

Solidly built kinda guy...like an old style boxer.

Wow, is Mike a ******....according to the Pokerpages article Forrest can win a Mill if he drops to 139 before late SEPTEMBER.

That gives him like 4 months to just drop 25 lbs and then just sweat 15lbs off 3 days prior safely ala every MMA fighter who needs to make weight.

If I knew TF"s mindet, id lay thousands on his side. This is just too easy unless im missing something.

Wtf.. seems to be a similar bet to what i've seen ole teddy boy do around town in vegas, ie firing 15k per hand in baccarat.

Ted seems to go out of his way to busto himself

WTF? The BoostedJ vs. TF prop apparently stipulates that Forrest must make a final table and that the weigh-in occurs within 24 hours of busting said final table. There must be more than one bet or you are referring to the original Matusow v. Forrest weight prop bet from a couple years ago.

I really didnt think forrest was serious about this weight bet he already has with matusow but i guess if he is still taking wagers on it with diffrent stipulations. He must be serious. However looking at his recent pics i just dont see how he makes it other then starvation.

This is actually doable.

I've had to help a client who was a D1 wrestler cut 25lbs in a month.

Ted forest needs only to cut to a walking around weight of 150 lbs. Assuming he makes a final table, dropping 10-11 pounds of water weight within in a day is difficult, but very common for bodybuilders and feasible if he has the willpower.

Making a final table will be the difficult part of this bet. If it was weight alone by a certain time (ala the mouth's bet), a 2-1 or 3-1 against him would seem more reasonable.

If he reaches that goal anytime before July 15'th he wins both bets, he doesn't have to be that weight on those dates, just before those dates. If I had to say...he probably has a pretty average body and he is in his mid 40's. What do the pro health and fitness people here at 2+2 think about this spot? Also fwiw, he must play in at least 10 WSOP events this summer if this makes any difference at all, it was a stipulation someone else decided to throw in. Thanks.

Sshhhhh, the only "sports" most of these geeks engaged in throughout school was Magicthecelibacing and they have no idea how easily one can lose 10-15lbs of water over 24 hours without risking anything in the way of health.

And yes, my previous post referred to the original bet with Matusow which is ridic easy for Forrest unless there are some medical issues unknown to us.

Basically its asking an average man at above average weight(slightly) to lose 10 lbs a month for 4 months.....If you think thats impossible, you are a ******.

I guess it was Boosted J I was sitting next to all day in the $1,500 Omaha/8 tournament.

I overheard how this bet kept evolving. At the end, Ted Forrest was betting $200 to win $85,000 from Boosted J. However, the bet was that Ted had to make the final table of the $1,500 O/8 event and be at 139 pounds within 24 hours of his elimination.

So, he has to lose all the weight by Wednesday.

I'm sure he has other 139 pound bets with others (Matusow, etc.) that gives him much more time to lose the weight.

He can't have surgery and can't use drugs to make it. Not that I'm an expert on bets like this but Matusow just screamed that to everyone in the entire Amazon Room. Also - he searched for someone weighting the amount that Forrest had to be eventually - found Dan Kelly - pointed him out to Forrest and laughed like a crazyman. Quit enjoyable I have to say.

I did confirm that if Forrest is extremely close to making the weight, he's allowed to donate blood to get across the finish line.

FFS...Ted is freerolling the Matusow bet.

He is in his mid 40's. If he dont get there he will die and Matusow gets nothing.

I used to think losing weight was pretty tough, but I played a round of golf the other day in 85-90 degree heat. RIDING IN A CART, and I sweated off like 6 pounds from 199 to 193 in 4-5 hours.
