Justin Bonomo not showing his hole cards to the cam Justin Bonomo not showing his hole cards to the cam

Should there be some sort of penalty for players on TV not showing their hole cards? I assume they have to sign some release that says they will?

There was an interview with another player that wasn't too happy about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmyqYk5AVAk

Thoughts? I think they should have some sort of a penalty if they do it on purpose.

tournament director allowed them to show after the hand is over. i watched the stream and the only player to forget was byron. not a big deal.

no need for a penalty. just flip the cards over.

I thought there should be a penalty but it's obvious that when they registered the tournament, they did sign a release to show their cards but did not specify when they had to show them. I'm sure that will be addressed and changed going forward.

Bonomo is a hustler he wasn't showing his Kickers to the cam after the hand was over it happened a few times, Bonomo made the game less secure whilst pretending to care about integrity of the game.
Also to suddenly care about integrity of game after Leon makes an excellent fold with top pair on turn with out putting in bet shows the guy has zero integrity. only one person is important to Justin and that person is Justin.

I thought he showed emotion and weakness in many parts of the tournament.

Standing besides jason koon after he was going to bust out is gay and lame.

Calling with those 66 twice, what a dumb move, does he really think he is not going to get that supposed small EV elsewhere in the tournament? And time bank is a lame excuse.

Then giving that gay huge hug on the exit of jason was beyond lame and gay again.

Then arguing with Leon, who is a world class VIP, give good bussiness advice, and also how the hell is a guy like that cheating/colluding? Hello justin, we all know about your multiaccounting SCANDALS haha lol.

Who wants to mess with a cool VIP like leon, chasing away his action, looking dumb on tv? Cmon man, act like were in a SHR in 2017, poker needs reliving noob.

This guy.

C'mon Justin stop with the ****ing leveling already. You want us to bring up the old threads again?

If he wasn't showing his hole cards bravo.

Someone should file an injunction against these people on the grounds that you can't be forced to reveal trade secrets in order to make a living.

Not only should showing hole cards be voluntary, if you do agree to show your hole cards you should be compensated in exactly the same way they compensate actors for re-runs.

You should be paid the first seven times that it's aired.

You have no idea...

He was an invited guest by Aria, he played a 300k Rake Free tournament with 5-10 amature buisnessmen/women.

If he doesn't want to show his cards then don't agree to it by registering for the tournament...

Good luck with that, but I don't think "trade secret" means what you think it means. If you look up a definition (eg https://www.rocketlawyer.com/article...ade-secrets.rl) you'll see that trade secrets are what gives a company an edge over competitors.

Even if an individual could have a trade secret, I could see how you could claim your poker strategy is a trade secret, but not your actual cards. They are just confidential information and since the dealer gives them to you in the first place, it's pretty tough to claim you have an exclusive right to know what they are.

Given that Justin has not had problems showing his cards before, I'm guessing there was more to this story than has been shared ITT. I wonder what Bonimo's reasoning was, because I'd surprised he just suddenly didn't want show his cards for no reason.

Also, what a world class conceited SJW douchebag this guy has be in his interviews lmao

^^^^
1. They both came off poorly in that interview.
2. If you are invited into a rake-free tourney on the condition that you show your hole card you show your hole cards.
3. If you think someone is cheating in said rake-free tourney you ask the TD to take steps to give you comfort or provide him with evidence that requires him to take steps.
4. Impugning the character of a guy like Leon which could impact on his business as a casino-owner with inevitably prove bad for your business as a poker player in casinos.
5. Inviting a guy like JB into an invitation-only SHR adds nothing of benefit to the SHR. I would much rather see that seat given to another Leon-type player or Olympic gold medalist sprinter.

the rules were this cheating dbag had to show his cards just like everyone else. if he doesn't like the rules don't enter.
06-09-2017 , 09:24 PM
Isn't he related to Edward Snowden? Prob not a bad idea showing your cards during the hand...

FWIW the folding after the hand is over started only after Leon made a solid fold holding Ace rag with out calling or betting on a Akjx board. Bonomo is such an arrogant **** that he felt this fold justified not showing hole cards.

I am closing the thread and deleting all the recent posts which have derailed this thread. If anybody wants to continue that conversation, there are probably other 2+2 forums for that other than NVG.
