There's a massive world of difference between a "hit man" and a large or otherwise tough looking guy that you pay to go somewhere and collect money from people that owe it to you.

Most underworld debt collectors have never actually killed anyone, largely because it's hard to collect anything from a corpse, and also because it's hard to keep collecting debts from someone when you've been executed for murder in a case with obvious financial motive. A lot of "toughs" work for legitimate or at least semi-legitimate agencies too. Growing up training boxing and martial arts, you meet a lot of guys that work in that business.

Regardless, an honest man pays his debts. It's not like Jungleman is being accused of robbing somebody in a casino parking lot.
