Range is narrow, top pair on the flop, game flow.

I wish sussie showed up in that hand with Kx 4

Probably figured only a few hands are value betting that river and didn't put him on it. Great call but it's results oriented. I'm sure Sussie will come out on top with that image and being able to get called down so light.

Never seen a call like as the hand was played. He beats no combos, nothing. So it was a great call!

It doesn't really matter if anyone here can explain it to you, unless another HS or nosebleed player can be bothered. The point is that they're both very good and established players who can think about poker better than us. We also have no idea about gameflow or reads they have on each other so making comments saying a hand is played bad (by someone better than you no less) is stupid because you have no idea about the thought process behind it.

Can't believe I just explained that.

edit: obv you can have an opinion, but 'the call is just silly' is lol.

he obv bluffs that type of flop a lot, but on river would check back a lot of showdownable hands like Ax, low-med hearts.

so good chance he is bluffing then good chance he has no showdown value versus a narrow value range = snap call imo, aka i haz a pair

a) Is opponent bluffing?
b) If so, do you beat bluffs?
c) If so, call

I mean I wrote your first sentence in a post before, but as I said it seems like the obvious stuff that both players would be aware of. I was just saying to alwaysdegen why he can't really call a play bad in the post you quoted.
