The lawyer of Joran is planning to appeal the sentence of 28 years. Joran was hoping for a sentence of 23 years.

It could definitely happen, but the US might not exist as it does now then, and it is probable a lot of the extradition treaties change. He could also end up in US if he sets foot in the UK. He better hope he can afford a private jet as it might accidentally make a stop in one of these places.
Secondly, does anyone know the prisoner transfer treaties between holland and Peru? If he were American he would do only 8 years + maybe a year back home, although murder sentences run longer in America than in Holland. If such an agreement exists with Holland he could be out in less than 14 years.
