Re: Joran van der Sloot poker player/serial killer?

Apparently LAPT lima started yesterday not today, I was reading yesterday evening's late news which said 'today', sorry about that.
But it must suck to be him, going over there to play the LAPT, pick up some girl, return to his room and find out some assassin slashed her throat in order to frame him for it. He already had the bad reputation so no wonder he fled in panic.

Why would he waste a $2700 seat? Total setup, the guy was smart enough and sane enough to dispose of Natalies body where they could not find it, why would he be stupid enough to book a room in his name, kill a girl everyone would come looking for, and then leave here in his hotel room? Funny thing though in 3rd world countries your guilty until you are proven innocent so chances are he will go to jail anyways and prisons in south america are as bad as it gets.

thing about criminals, if they get away with it once, they will most likely do it again and again, until they get caught.

Because he stabbed her so much there was blood all over the walls of the room there. The clean up situation might have been completely pointless at that point.

And it would be difficult to smuggle a body out of a hotel in the miraflores district undected.

Interesting that you are defending him this much when it seems pretty freaking obvious.

Yet again why would anyone kill someone in his hotel room booked under his own name? Maybe he has multiple personalitys like that movie with Edward Norton and Richard Gere? The guy was good for 5 years and now suddenly he gos to a poker tournament and kills someone and makes it obivous while the other murder he allegedly did was a pretty good coverup? Kid doesn't seem like a serial killer, phsycopath, etc.

You've been watching too much Nancy Grace. Yes, for crimes like theft/fraud/etc... criminals tend to continue until they get caught. But murder is personal and people don't just keep killing. The only exception to this would be a serial killer, but there is little chance that is the case (who premeditates committing a murder in a room registered to your name?).

Chances are, Sloot gave Hollyway drugs, she OD, and they panicked (as idiots tend to do)... and he got away with manslaughter at the most. Because of this, for his entire life, no presumption of innocent will be given. I am honestly going to ignore the media hysteria about this "celebrity" until more is known.... because the fact is, if Nancy Grace could pin the Holocaust on him... she would.

He was not smart enough or sane enough to do anything the first time. He killed Natalie on the beach then panicked, called a friend, who disposed of the body in the ocean via boat. He has been filmed confessing to all of this while smoking weed. you can find it on youtube.

Re: Joran van der Sloot poker player/serial killer?

bees - Do you think all murders are pre-planned and happen away from one's home or hotel room or something? Maybe he didn't intend on killing her when they went back to his room but some weird rage type thing or urge happened somehow. Could have been anything.

A body found in his room combined with him bolting as fast as he can is about a zillion times more likely to be a case of "he did it" then "somebody is carefully framing him."

Your arguments on why he might somehow not be guilty are fascinating.

Yeah but a wild conspiracy is so much more fun! Bet you're one of those types who thinks we really did land on the moon or that all the world leaders aren't actually reptilian humanoids.

digby - It's already been looked at....and you're wrong about that guarantee thing. Sorry dude. It does not appear that the killer himself has actually graced us in this thread.
